Just so it's clear, woot was advertising their twitter feed in the GPS description, not the location of the burned out clutch. No reasonable person could have been expected to guess that it meant something else.

It was this one:

As to this product, the DV7 is really nice line. 16:9 might seem like a bad thing, but it makes it easier to put webpages side by side for comparison. It also works better with movies and gives you more actual real estate than what a 16:10 will give you with the exception of 4:3 material.

The HD4200 is decent IGP, but not great for gaming. Here is a link showing how it stacks up.

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Games-on-Laptop-Graphic-Cards.13849.0.html

It is good for the casual game. plays sims 3 at medium settings, and some first person shooters at low settings. For games like Crysis, you will need to upgrade to something like their 4650.... which adds about $200 to the price.

If you are looking for gaming, the best bet if to forego the BD and go with the better GPU.

What makes this a really good desktop replacement and portable media machine is that it comes with a really nice remote. Add a TV tuner via USB, and it is the perfect multimedia laptop.

The only good thing about twitter was Conan.

I love the hypocrisy of some members of this site.

instead of telling the whiny children to sit down.... and instead of letting them know that their tantrums are not to be tolerated by the adults.. instead they'll accuse the members who DO tell it like it is to the newbs to get off a high horse.. lol.

listen, turdburglers...you're teh same spoons who invented "time outs" for children, and created an atmosphere of overly PC goodness that makes people afraid to say what they mean. Choke on your passive aggression. You're happier with a self entitled little grapefruit juice of an internet user complaining at the top of his lungs, than you are with the guy telling said dbags to severing the fourth umbilical until they learn a thing or to? Then you'll wonder why your kid is on ritalin and has self esteem issues.

This x 100. LAAAAME.

The Bag of Cats is the whole reason I Woot, but I refuse to lower my self esteem so low as to actually use Twitter for any reason.

Edit: But FWIW Woot Trackers can track Happy Hour, of course I didn't learn this until after the Bag of Cats...

Thanks, and I see how you found it. Now I know.

So a tip for getting a quality post is to post in a topic with few quality posts; that increases the odds.

i found that the next item was posted on twitter before it showed up on Woot. I clicked on the item link, then after F5 a few times, got my bag of carp. soooo disappointed i could only get 1!

and i never needed to log in to twitter, so i thought that an account wasn't needed.

If it is successful in defeating the autobuyers... i don't care if woot sells random crap exclusively from their parking lot.

I'm curious how many of the loudest complainers are simply annoyed that their free lunch is over.

Earn your crap people.

Earn it.

I just realized a while ago as I was driving that I had a box of woot-off lights in my car, and since it's a new car it has a USB port. I'm going to have to try that out when I leave later.

The police lights might get me in trouble though...

Sorry, but it's not.
I got my first crap bag during happy hour using autobuy.
But, you know, I don't really get the outrage...
"Autobuy" is a bit of a misnomer;
All it does is automatically click the "buy" button - you still have to be there to manually do everything else.

I don't see how a tracker is ok, but auto click-buy-button for beOsee isn't.

Why isn't anyone saying "Waah - not fair! You don't have to press f5 repeatedly - and you get estimated time and percentage of stock left - that's cheating! It's against the spirit of Woot!"?

woot happy hour gives us the time left on the item automatically, and during a woot off, @woot tweets a LAST CALL before an item is "sold out" so is woot cheating too?

I've never won a crapbag since I started using wootalyzer. I use it mainly because I want to know when an item ends and I'm in the other room or doing something else. The alarm alerts me that an item is about to end.

Since when are there rules to this woot thing, anyway?

Perhaps if I was talking about trackers that simply load the buy page for you requiring you to complete the transaction your post would have been relevent.

Well - I thought you were, it is called "autobuy" on wooters.us - and considering that last night, another vet said I should be ashamed of myself, and called me "immoral" for using wooters.us - I'm a bit sensitive...

Since when does woot have morals?

I'm not getting where all these rules are coming from. Selling someone 2000 action figures for $8 should be illegal.
