Lol I finally figured out what I did wrong. Seeing a 404 error always throws me off, never thought I'd actually look at the page source of one...

Anyone else have any problems with #11? I haven't seen any posts about it, and am stuck after referencing every word or phrase I could think of.

I'd look at this every way possible ;) You don't need to be an HTML guru to solve this.

Try not to overthink it.

maybe it's not a word or phrase! I'd agree with the puzzle maker and favor Google over Bing for that one!

While I'm here, anyone want to prod me along on #14? Clearly what I'm doing isn't working.

I've been looking at #13 for about 7 hours. I have no idea what to do.

that's really a tough one. the album covers and the songs themselves have significance. i'd use all the information i could get about the songs on the albums and the names of the artists as much as i could!

good luck!

The significance of the songs and albums I have, but I'm not seeing the application thereof.

Hmm.. still have no idea on this one.

Is there something in the code? Or do I have to type something and press enter?

I don't wanna risk any further spoilers in public, but check your PMs and let me know if I can provide any other subtle bits of inspiration. It's totally one of those things, that once you solve it, you laugh uncontrollably to yourself, much to the chagrin of your neighbors and/or loved ones =P

If you look at the source code of the page, you would maybe notice something different about that particular page, that would lead you to do what you did.

Ok, so 10. I've followed some of the hints provided here, like reversing and using google services instead of bing, and I have the location of where the numbers point, but it's in the middle of nowhere. What now?

Zooming in too far results in google saying that they don't have images zoomed in that far.

timfee wrote:zoom out?

Are you saying that the coordinates provided may not be the correct ones, or that I just entered them wrong?

Why would I do that based on the source code? I only did it based on a PM, and even then I was doing the wrong page until I fat-fingered it. It bothers me that even post-solution I can't see the clue.

if you're not seeing ANYTHING, try re-shifting the coords [and negative signs DO matter]. If you're on land, try zooming out and seeing if you find recurring themes.

Google tends to like input like (####,####) in maps view, btw.

I bow to you timfee. The negative hint totally gave it away. Thanks!

I didn't give a "hint that gave it away," I merely indicated the importance of negative/positive values in mathematical equations.

That's my story & I'm sticking to it ;-)

Glad I could help though!

do you know each row of numbers spells out a number? maybe that number, per row, can help.

Google earth would be best and just type in the coords.

(It's not a city name or anything, but you'll know it when you see it)

Everybody else seems to be flying over 16 with no problem, but I'm stuck. I'm assuming upper left is (1,1), and I get 15 numbers between 1 and 11, and I don't know what to do with them.

Check for any extra files in the page source.

What do you do with the code when you get it?

I have a feeling it has something to do with that red puzzle piece that I have no idea what it is.

I've been stuck for a while... If you still have numbers, then you need to look at source again. The trick is similar to the cascade clue earlier. Of course, since I haven't passed this level... take my advice with a grain of salt. (and feel free to share when you figure it out)

13: Ok, so I found the extra file added in the source code, then I started finding their matching counterparts in the ugly long code, but I'm getting a jumble of letters, and some of them don't even have matches. I though I was on the right track, but I guess not.

Yes, wrong track. Just do a print screen. No idea why though.

16: Look at the file name of the arrays. Combine with the phrase you decode. Look for the shape.

I'm definitely buying one of these.
