Hmm..i suppose it doesn't matter if Amazon owns woot so long as nothing changes ...AT ALL. Also, I predict further competition for crap...

I knew this would happen when the iPad came out. Amazon need a way to dump all those Kindles!!! As soon as that's done they will move you to the mental side of the old hospital on the hill they inhabit.

BTW will I be abe to use my Amazon prime on WOOT? Just sayin' you know.

My home state, NC, has decided to charge sales tax on any Amazon bought items. Will this affect my woot! buying?

In all my combined woot buys from each site, i have never been lucky enough to get a bagOcrap. If i could never do it before, I am sure the odds are even slimmer now.

So sad.

But... CONGRATS AND WOOHOO to you dear woot!

Congratulations, associates.

Everyone who was employed as of May 30, 2010 (one month ago) is now a millionaire. (A select few are multi-millionaires.)

But I hope you keep coming back to work, because you've done one heckuva job!

I hope this means Amazon will be shipping my Woot. Woot takes 6 weeks to get to my APO address. Amazon takes 6-7 days (even the FREE Super Saver shipping).

Snapster says that nothing will change. And perhaps nothing will. But, really, Snapster has no say in this anymore.

w00t may become a slick Deal-a-Day website with the occasional good deal, but I don't see this ending well for those of us who have grown to cherish the quirky little website where you could also get a good deal once in a while.

But, at least one person is REALLY happy about being purchased by Amazon.

You talk about the 2 good acquisitions (zappos and audible), but what about one of their OTHER acquisitions, reflexive.com? Folks over there are a rather unhappy bunch, because after leaving everything alone for a year or so, they changed, well, almost everything.

Pop-tarts have some strange heating instructions, in my opinion. The microwave instructions say to "Microwave on high setting for 3 seconds." I didn't think a microwave could warm anything up that quickly. I don't heat mine though, so I don't lose to much sleep over it.

This heres a story about billy joe and bobbie sue
Two young lovers with nothin better to do
Than sit around the house, get high, and watch the tube
And here is what happened when they decided to cut loose

They headed down to, ooh, old el paso
That's where they ran into a great big hassle
Billy joe shot a man while robbing his castle
Bobbie sue took the money and run

Go on take the money and run
Go on take the money and run
Go on take the money and run
Go on take the money and run!

Great idea....gonna miss you Woot!

Good ol' Smartpost. It gets to the west coast via FedEx in a few days. Then 5-6 weeks later, USPS gets around to delivering it to me at my APO address here in Japan. Yay Smartpost.
