woot says my order has not shipped but i am holding my ipod touch in my hot little hands right now! it arrived this afternoon. oh, and i may as well admit that i'm not technically holding it right now... cuz, see, i use both hands to type.

Plugged it in, nothing. ITunes did not pop up. It shows that the battery is charging but nothing else.

Manually started ITunes. Nothing again. No message about recognizing new software.

Can anyone help?

Unfortunately Sunday does not count as a "business day" unfortunately and typically with most business weeks, Saturday would not be included either (although shipping may arrive on Saturday). I am hoping for a ship soon however, keep your fingers crossed.

Dude, go to apple.com and go to troubleshooting or plug it into yer computer and go to computer and click on it

Yay.... picked up and on it's way to me... yes.. Figures the NW would be later than the others.. ah well, here's hoping it makes it before the weekend.

I live in NoDak and mine was picked-up yesterday at 1650. Should be to me around the 2nd.

If you happen to drop your iPod in the toilet at Mcdonalds, fish it out quickly and turn it OFF. Water and electricity don't mix well. If you store it in a bag of rice for a day or four it may eventually start working again. Don't ask me how I know this.

I did that so many times with my phone and Ipods. The rice absorbs the water out of the devices. What I did is put the phone and rice into a sock (I used 5 tube socks to lessen the damage) and put it in the drier with other clothing. Phone works like new.

You do have an order number to put into the FedEx tracking site right?

you have to put the order number in the "big box" for the reference numbers plus the Country and Zip Code.

Got mine this morning (Ohio). Woot still says it hasn't shipped. Use the order number on the Fedex.com website as explained earlier in this thread. My tracking information was listed correctly there.

Mine showed up this morning in SC. The plastic case was broken. There was no packing. Just the plastic case in a fedex bag. This is hubby's birthday present so I hope it will work! Fingers crossed. Daughter is in charge of making it work. Teenagers don't think Moms can do much of anything right so she will let me know if it works!

edit: Forgot to say it looks brand new. No scratches or marks.
