Uses for TENS units... sorry to use Wikipedia as it is not a medical journal yet it is relative accurate about a TENS unit.

My wife was just diagnosed with back issues recently and it was recommended we get a TENS unit. They are normally rather exhorbitant, but this one is such a good deal I had to order for her. Thanks, Woot!

My mother gave me a full body, heated, vibrating massage mat for my birthday. It's even better than sitting on the dryer ;)

I don't think I need this..

Bought one of these a few years ago. I actually used it quite often during softball season. In for another. Arm band was the thing that tipped me in favor.

I'm taking lunch to a friend soon so I don't have much time, but I'll only be gone a few hours. We know from experience that it's unlikely this w00t-off will end while I'm gone.

Great to hear from you! I've been holing up in shock all summer and haven't been w00ting much.

You pay shipping for every order. Most of the time if the items are smaller, and they are in the same order, you only pay one shipping charge.

In for one. The TENS is my favorite part of going to the chiro. Now I'll be all electrified on my terms.

Nope. It's an ARM cuff. You can contact the manufacturer for a LEG cuff, if you'd like.

I have a TENS unit that I got by prescription. I believe the prescription may only be required in order to get your insurance to pay for the machine. I had asked my doctor about getting an AC powered unit like in his office. He said something along the lines that those were only available to professionals and that patients only had access to battery powered models.

I had a similar device after ACL surgery. You'd be surprised at the amount of pain these things can actually help alleviate.

The line in the description " simple way to help get rid of the pain." is a bit misleading.

A TENS unit basically masks the pain. You turn it up & feel the electrodes "tingle" until that feeling masks the feeling of pain. It confuses your brain by making the tingling stronger than the pain so that it ignores the pain.

It doesn't really get rid of the pain - once you take the TENS off, it will probably hurt just as much as it did before, but while you've got it on they work very well.

This looks exactly like the Sharper Image-branded unit I got from woot a while back. It kinda sucks in that it only has one stimulus generator, which alternates between the two pairs of electrodes and cannot be set to run both simultaneously. Neither can you "cross the streams" and run the current diagonally.
