Is it possible that the clear plastic thing is just a space helmut?

Could you imagine if ARGH did drugs?

In primate-related news, we have placed orders for a variety of bizarre monkey paraphernalia, which are presently zooming to our office via a major commercial parcel carrier. Also, the first signs of spring are showing around here, and we're in a good mood about it. Two of the three cats don't care about the screeching noise the monkey makes, but the baby black kitty runs away...body close to the ground.

I don't know if bamboo is toxic to cats, that is why I have never had any real plants in my home, but I always wanted bamboo. My hubby said that pandas eat it and they are animals, so with cats it shouldn't be a problem.

I should ask Lynnie if she knows a place online where I can find a list of non-toxic plants. I love gardening, but am afraid to do anything inside.

Yes, the monkey is quite handsome. I think it is a male? What do you think?

Male. Did not look like a girl to me. You can't find a list of non toxic plants? Outside cats know what to eat. Try looking at some childcare sites.

That is a good thing. I ran over a cat once. It walked right under my car while I was driving.
I bet they list plants in the babyproofing books. I'll look around tomorrow and see if I kept any.

Completely, I was passing the back end of a parked car when I saw the cat by the front tire. Figured the cat saw me, but it walked out and I ran over its head. Felt the bump, heard nothing. I went back to check, cat died instantly. Called the cops and reported it. They didn't know what to do about it but they said the town would get the cat and it was gone the next morning.
I saw a dog when I was a kid that had been run over and was dying. That was not good, crushing the cats head, which means it felt nothing wasn't that bad.

No but you would think that since she was learning to drive she would have seen the cat. That is one of the problems with new drivers, they aren't use to watching the road. So far she hasn't killed anything yet. Lots of deer where she is. Gotta watch out for them.

OK, this is dull. Got anything else to talk about?
Do you have an eye for extensions on houses? We want to put one on and I can't figure out how to do it and have it look good. We want to have some ideas before we go to the architect. We only had him draw out our plans the last time.

The kids are gone or almost gone and now you want an extension?

Edit: Do you mean addition?

Aren't they the same thing?
Well the kids most likely will be back. Very expensive to get an apt anywhere near nyc.
We can't add rooms on, not enough land. What we were thinking was 5 feet or less off the kitchen.
That is as far as we can go. It would double the cabinet space in the kitchen. That could be done and make it look ok. If we make the addition two floors we could add onto the master bedroom closet. That would be great! We could really use the space, even if the ceilings are low. Just can't figure out how to do it.

Uh oh ... I smell a Friday contest idea being ... er, born.

Create an original concept for an addition to don'twantaname's house. Show the addition integrated with the original structure.

You may borrow elements from any architectural style, but they must be objects used in the actual construction of dwellings in the continental United States so grass huts or igloos are right out. There was an old lady who lived in a shoe however, so we suppose that would be ruled fair play.

Post the pictures here in the discussion thread by 11:59 PM CST on Sunday.

Did I mention "uh oh"? ...
