I apologize for the delay. We had a note on the original post that explained that some would be shipped later than others:

We've secured more Buckyballs from the manufacturer. If you're ordering this afternoon, your order will ship outside of our usual 5 business day window (most likely a week from Thursday due to Labor Day) Be sure to check the forum for updates on shipping.

Man! People are impatient and self-centered. People order ONE product ONCE from an On-line Retailer and it's delayed... and they act like the world is ending, w00t is launching some kind of Campaign for World Conquest (they are btw), and/or it's a communist plot by the President of the United States.

Personally, I almost forgot I ordered them. I'm certainly in no massive hurry to get them. It is a time-wasting toy. Nothing more. If I'd not happened to look in here to see why there were so many messages, I may have forgotten about having ordered them, entirely. But then again, I had a head injury last year, so I'll blame it on that.

Starting a new job on Monday and wanted these to go with me. Come on baby ship today!

What is going on with the delay!? Still no update on a tracking number. I feel it would be pointless to contact Woot Service Department to find out what's going on.

It doesn't matter what the product is. If I order something and they tell me it's going to ship in a certain timeframe, I expect it to ship in a certain timeframe. I ordered mine prior to noon central, so I expect it to ship within 5 business days. Got my confirmation at 9am-ish and have heard nothing about a tracking number.

Got my confirmation at 10:01am CDT, and still no word at all on shipping.

If we do get the 2nd batch of balls, will they still be mislabeled, or will we not get the balls as advertised?

So if they do ship on Thursday, I wonder if we'll get them by the end of the week?

I reckon it just means they let total doo-doo heads order from online discount retailers, too. (I would have used a bad word, but the short form of "Richards" was replaced by the word "homeskizzles" when I previewed.)

5 Days = Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Tuesday, Wednesday. I wouldn't start worrying until Tomorrow.

with the extra batch, i won't be to worried if they don't ship before next Monday.

I'm sorry, it apparently looks like we fulfilled as many orders as we could from the morning with the stock we had, we miscalculated how quickly they would sell when we included that note with the item.

my only complaint with this whole debacle is that i have to dig through forums ( 600 plus posts now) to find anything out about my order... I imagine it should be a simple thing for woot.com to send people who ordered, but still have to wait, an email explaining the delay.
I have had a lot of good experiences with woot.com, and wont let this one bad apple spoil the bunch... hopefully they take this as an opportunity to learn and improve their process for next time

those who haven't had their orders shipped yet should be happy because instead of it changing to "sold out," woot was able to secure more bucky balls. would you rather have bucky balls later or no bucky balls?

Yea, it's a time-wasting toy. I need something to wast time NOW while the package is coming! Oh Woot! what do I do now!?!?

aww man i wanted them this week. I guess i have to keep waiting i did not get my order confirmation till about 5:00 pm est, i ordered around that time as well.
Anyone know how much longer we have to wait if you ordered late in the afternoon towards the evening?

You do know it says "Usually ships within 5 business days" right? That's not quite a guarantee.

I've been waiting excitedly for the past few days, but with no luck. If they really do ship out on Thursday, its going to be another week till I get them

Well, I got my order confirmation at 9:40 EDT (So 8:40 Woot time), and have not gotten a shipping number yet, so clearly that morning order thing isn't a perfect rule.

To be honest, though, I was expecting a delay due to the holiday. Everyone who's pissed and saying they'll never buy from woot! again: your loss. They are giving us otterific deals on stuff, and they don't have a consistent, guaranteed source of revenue (depends on what they are selling that day), so they can't higher more people just because they had tens thousands of buckyball sets to ship out. And people probably took off work for the Holiday weekend. I would hope woot! gives their employees vacation time. Just give them a break.

My first time woot!ing and I am far from thrilled at the "wonderful" customer service I have received. Yeah, I ordered at 11:43am mountain time, which means it was after noon central time. Why can't they just send out an email as follows:
"We ran out of merchandise prematurely and had to secure more. Based on the time of your order, we expect to have your item(s) shipped by (insert date here)"

Seriously guys... learn to exercise a little patience.

I sent an email today asking about the status and I got an immediate response. Sure, they didn't ship within 5 business days, but all of you complainers must never have worked a real job. Delays happen. Shipping/Logistics aren't error free and are often late.

Grow up a bit.

Woot is legit. If you're unhappy, then get a refund.

Do the world a favor and work in customer service for at least 6 months. You'll realize that your Bucky Balls (or whatever else) aren't that freakin' important.

Got mine today. Just got the tracking number yesterday, they must have had an issue sending out tracking numbers the the Buckyballs arrived fairly quickly for a woot order. I also got the cedar wraps I order the week before Bucky Balls today too. Be patient. Woot has good deals but the shipping is the cheapest method they can find.

What do I do while I wait?
Hmmmm....what else sticks together real well?

I guess I have some balloons...and a cat...

Unless you're giving it as a gift or you need them medically (I don't know, some people...) you all can wait. Good grief. What do you expect from free shipping?

I've ordered something from woot once and it never got to me, I eventually had to keep e-mailing them and finally they just gave me my money back, because they messed up and were out of stock by the time they got around to my e-mail.

I agree with an above post that we just need to be patient. It seems like a long time because we ordered on a Tuesday (I did at 9:35am woot time). 5 business days shipping...wednesday, thurs, fri, tues, wednesday. (Monday was a holiday)

I haven't known about woot for long, but I'm happy with them. Calm the eff down. We'll all get our balls soon enough.
