My tracking number that I received last Thursday finally shows up in FedEx's system. "Shipment information sent to FedEx" as of 8:15 Sept 13th (1 hour in the future). Not quite in FedEx's hands, but close. No estimated delivery date, but estimated ship date is today.

Edit: Looking at the tracking from my last two Baggie of Cthulhu's, it took two days to arrive in Dallas from this stage. So it looks like it should really ship by Wednesday...

Shipping info still says not found.... my order was in at 9:40 am CST... I don't mind things being late but an e-mail or something would have been nice explaining the issue and don't send out shipping info 4 days (at this point) before it even ships... I've never had trouble with Woot before but this is just bad customer service.

Someone said they were getting their shipping cost back, hopefully that goes for all of us still waiting and not just for people who got mad and emailed in about it.

You really wouldn't be upset if the product never shipped as long as you got a refund? Yes, it is just a desk toy. But really, it doesn't matter what the order is. You ordered it, and you expect to get it in a reasonable amount of time.

Honestly I don't understand the logic of these "cut the whining" posts.

Hey look at that all I had to do was post on here and poof my "Shipment information sent to FedEx". Thats a step in the right direction but its still 4 days after I got the email saying it was shipped. And this doesn't even mean that fedex has their hands on them yet...

If I buy something, from anywhere, I obviously want it. I payed for it, its technically mine, and someone else is holding it.
There my BuckyBalls and I want them NOW!!!!

I would've just paid more on amazon and received them at a reasonable time.

Oh, and my tracking number finally shows up on fedex(shipping information sent to fedex). So it's marked as shipped, still sitting on the Woot dock(not shipped) and will take another 10 days to get here because it's smartpost(slow as ship).

I'm going to refrain for now from turning into the kind of customer I hate to deal with, and give w00t a chance to sort this out.

Frankly though, if you're going to play the kind of games that I HATE seeing customers forced into (aka....if we scream and get angry enough we get what we want but screw the polite people) then you know what, I may just stop going to woot altogether....while I can understand shipping delays and things happening, I will not tolerate a company that rewards customers who have no choice but to get angry and beg and plead to get any real help (which really also just ends up making the peon reps [who have the be the only ones who deal with the customers] miserable) while the customers who decide to cut them a little slack get jackschmidt except for the huge delay in shipping...

(note, I am not saying the person I quoted was a jerk, in fact, given how organized s/he wrote, they probably weren't jerks at all...I'm pointing out the mentality consumers almost have to adopt to get help most of the time, which is inattentive armadilloic and frustrating for both the consumers and the reps)

Don't know about everyone else's, but mine are showing up as shipped via FedEx Home Delivery, aka "Real" FedEx ground, with delivery dates Tuesday through Saturday IIRC. This is annoying for me, as I had these shipped to my apt, which means they'll be doortagging me and I'll have to go pick them up from the dist. center after work. At least with SmartPost I have a chance of it fitting in my mailbox or the shared Parcel boxes, then the mailman puts the key in my mailbox.

It IS starting to feel like Woot purchases should be handled like those from DealExtreme, Meritline, and the like (aka, shipped straight from China, Hong Kong, or Singapore). You're supposed to place your order, then promtly try to forget about it. In 2-4 weeks, Surprise! You've got a present in your mailbox! :D

Considering the messed-up shipping, I think it would be appropriate for Woot to refund the $5 shipping fee. When Woot charges my credit card, that is an indication that the product is shipping. When the product actually ships over two weeks later, then that means that I didn't get the service I paid for.

I want my shipping refunded, Woot.

Well, so much for these making it in time for my wife's birthday (9/11), but mine finally shipped as well. I'm not sure why Fedex is going to take until next Monday to deliver from Dallas. I guess that is why I never intentionally use them for shipping.

Wow, I am in the same boat as everyone else. I have been a long time watcher of woot deals and I finally pulled the trigger on a deal for some cool stocking stuffers. While I am in no particular rush, I'll never woot again since I have to wait until approx. Sept 20th for an order placed on August 31st and not have the seller provide any type of refund or expedite on shipping. I guess this is just a really bad first impression....oh well.

Well, I think we are beginning to see some of the great advantages of having WOOT being a subsidiary of Amazon.

WOOT supposedly promised shipment within 5 days of order....what happened? Why was there no email follow-up?

An email apologizing for the screw-up would have gone a long way towards minimizing the bad experience . . . especially since they charged the order immediately.

I have brought WOOT item since they started, but will hesitate making any important purchases henceforth.

GRRRRRR! This is even MORE annoying now...with FedEx "normal", you can go to the depot and pick up items the same day delivery was attempted if you weren't home. FedEx "Home" has extended hours for delivery, but not for the depot (which is a separate depot). This means you CAN'T go pick it up, you can only sign the tag and hope it's waiting for you the next day (hasn't grown legs), or request they pull it off the truck and hope it's waiting for you at the depot.

Why oh why didn't I just send these to work??

edit: In other words, they just tried and failed to deliver them to me. So close, yet so far away.

Hah. Situation's exactly reversed for me. Had mine shipped to my workplace, but I've got a scheduled arrival date of Saturday, so I'll likely be waiting until Monday to actually play with the little buggers. Can't please everyone I guess.

This was my first w00t, may just be the last considering that the amount of time I spent tracking was worth more than the 20 bucks I saved getting these.

I hope you have a coupon code or something in the works for those of us that went through this shipping nightmare. Maybe then you can entice us to w00t again.
