DONT BUY i have the brookestone one they are all exaclty the same sometimes differnt designs but same insides and they suck

Bought 2 of these for the Dad and Dad n Law. Dad n Law loves it. Dad thinks it reeks of effort. Works nicely for slide show slides from back in the day.

One more Christmas present done!

This slide scanner has terrible reviews pretty much everywhere. I would pass on it.

anything beats the huge box of slides Dad took while in Vietnam, i don't care what the resolution will be. in for one.

Only supports Windows XP - deal killer for me.

This would be the perfect item for my Grandparents... if they owned or knew how to use a computer...

Then again maybe not. I can see it now instead of being saved by the amount of time it used to take for them to set up the projector and screen they will be able to beat me up with slideshows from their laptops and cell phones constantly...

purchased this earlier, still have not been unable to get it to operate a USB 1.0 port , no support , does not work w/ Mac OS either

Thanks for that, that will really help get it off of the wootoff...people are just gonna snatch it right up.

The Mom has like a million slides and plenty of time on her hands. That'll keep her busy. In for one!

Don't buy. very buggy and hard to use. Drivers don't support new operating systems.

got one for eight dollars and goodwill and felt I was overcharged.
It's not a scanner it takes a picture...
But if you can't afford a scanner it's about the only cheap option available...
Unfortunately, you get exactly what you pay for.
Scanner means a film scanner or a high end flat unit with real back lighting. This is just as good as those little light reflecting tent like things for flatbeds...

Isn't right about now the time when a rich benefactor on a white horse comes along and buys up every last one of these so we can go back to ignoring our jobs?

Works in Vista and Windows 7 as well. We had NO problems with either OS.
