Well there is one other person in the same Alpharetta, GA zip code as me that is getting a Bag O'carp.

At least the mailman for our 6 story office building knows to bring all Woot boxes to me.

If it wasnt so much fun talking about it, I would be getting upset by now about how everyone I pass in the office asks about shipment (at least once a day).

Its a good thing the anticipation is part of the fun, but having it is really most of the fun....

What is that heinz commercial.... anticipation...

selophayne wrote:Do I always land a Basket of Crabs during slow weeks at work, or does the anticipation of a Basket of Crabs make the work week slow? I'm just sitting at a computer 8 hours a day, so I might as well check the tracking... again... and again. I KNOW tpw said it probably won't ship until Monday, I KNOW he's probably not lying to us, I KNOW the shipping info won't have changed in the last hour. I know all these things, but I still can't help but check. It makes for really long days.

I wish I were capable of forgetting that I bought this. It would make the next couple weeks much easier on myself... and my F5 key.

Is this OCD or ADD?

mikebbass wrote:The 5 Stages of a Baggie of Cthulhu

Excitement – When the Baggie of Cthulhu first appears during a Woot-Off, the rush of adrenaline is unmatched. Superhuman feats of simultaneous mouse clicking on multiple screens are not unheard of.

Bargaining – "Just let me get to the order page"; "I'll do anything just dont crash."; "I will give my life savings if I can just get this Baggie of Cthulhu..."
This stage involves the hope that a Wooter can somehow through sheer force of will get the page to load. This stage manifests itself at each instance where a page needs to load, but lasts the longest while waiting for the confirmation email.

Anger – "Why me? It's not fair!"; "How can this happen to me?"; "Who is to blame?" Much like the bargaining stage, a Wooter may experience this stage interspersed with the bargaining stage while waiting for pages to load or seeing the servers crash or the Baggie of Cthulhu while waiting for confirmations.

Depression – "I'm so sad, why bother with anything?"; "I'm going to die... What's the point?"; Much like the two previous stages, this stage also occurs while waiting for a page to load or a confirmation to appear. During the depression stage, the Wooter begins to understand the certainty of not getting the Baggie of Cthulhu. Because of this, the individual may become silent, refuse visitors and spend much of the time crying and grieving. It is not recommended to attempt to cheer up an individual who is in this stage.

Exhilaration – This stage occurs only after the Baggie of Cthulhu purchase is completely confirmed by email and on the Wooters account page. There are no words that can effectively describe this stage. Only a fellow Wooter who has also acquired a Baggie of Cthulhu or possibly an Olympian wining the gold in every single event of both the Summer and Winter Olympics on his or her birthday.

I have to cancel all future appointments with my therapist, hit the liquor store and change my life.

There could be other wooters that got things from the woot-off and not necessarily the baloney on crackers.

Go here:
https://www.fedex.com/AltRefTracking?cntry_code=us

place this: WT10186A-1
into the big reference box, pull down to United States and plug in your zipcode, press track. The next page will show you how many Baskets of Cheer are in your zipcode!

So in my meager attempt to do some research (and not hold my breath), still no change in my account status. Being a virgin Beautiful Ocean Cabana winner, do people get their shipping status updates at different times? Should I be so sad that I haven't gotten any news? Or should I be giddy with excitement at the possibility of something wonderful being the hold up - like many, many pounds of crap? (Thus: the breath holding). Words of wisdom, or commiseration?

I received my three Screaming Monkeys today.

They were telling me of all the dollar store carp that was sitting in the warehouse, waiting to be packed into the 2971 boxes and shipped out to the fools who bought a bag of carp.

I checked all 17 zip codes in my city.
The population of my city is 353,643. Not counting undocumented peeps.
I cannot believe I am the only one in this city with nothing better to do but sit glued to the computer for days on end waiting for a Baggie of Cthulhu.
And, no I DO NOT live in my mom's basement!

2 in mine..I live in a small town so is it going to far to hope they are both mine??
I was at work when the Baggie of Cthulhu came up...my boss sits 7 feet away and was asking me to go into her office as I was praying to the wootgods to pllleeeaasssse let it go through after too many buttafuocoed attempts over the years to count. I put one hand up signalling her to hold on and she laughed and said.. did you finally get one?? Aww the joy to finally look up, tear in my eye and say yes!

Well, since everyone checks their zip codes... I'm the only one in mine, and one of three in my neighborhood.

Also noteworthy, that no crаps at all are going to these zip codes:

20500 - The White House
60615 - Chicago, IL (Obama's residence)
76638 - Crawford, TX (Home of W.)
10514 - Chappaqua, NY (Home of Bill Clinton)
10027 - New York, NY (Office of Bill Clinton)

So I guess the presidents - both current and former are only good at talking crаp all day long, but when it gets to getting down and ordering a real thing....

Just like I thought!!!

Enjoy the wait!

It does mean, however, that those of us with placeholders ARE getting their Beautiful Ocean Cabana. Means we're on the list and there are empty boxes just waiting to be loaded and shipped to us.

The anticipation is part of the fun.
