I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

These are great, and this is a nicer price than usual.

I stayed up for this?!?

What is the capacity of the micro SD Slot?

No more WOOT! for me! This new site makes my eyes bleed.

Still have mine from 5+ months ago, still <3 it. I threw an 8GB card in for all my music, but have occasionally swapped it out for a smaller MicroSD card with audiobooks. It does take about 30 seconds to rescan when you pop a new card in.

16GB works. I was told that 32GB should work, but there were no 32GB microSD cards at that time.

We have 2, we really like them, the headphones that come with them are basic, so invest a few bucks for better ones

I got this from the last Woot, and I stab it.. Small, light, full-color screen, decent amount of disk space. Ive listened to it through earbuds and through the auxiliary jack in my car, and it sounds great. It arrived three days ago, and I fully charged it that day, and Ive been using it in the car and while at work, and the battery meter still doesnt show any use. And yes, there is an adjustable equilizer

Sansa? What's that? Never heard of 'em.....

I have bought from Woot two Sansa Views (2GB and 4GB), a Sansa Clip (4GB), and two Sansa Fuzes (4GB and 8GB). I haven't had a problem with any of them, except for the View that my girlfriend decided would be better if slammed in a car door.

I've installed Rockbox on them all: v1/v2 whatever, Rockbox works and it's been incredibly stable.

Linux support is no big deal, since this shows up as a standard mass storage device.

My only recommendation is to dump the earbuds that come with it, as they aren't anything special, and get a set of noise-isolating buds. I personally like the Koss Sparkplugs, which have a terrible build quality (I go through a pair every 2-3 months), but a reasonable price ($12-15) and excellent noise isolation and fit. Unlike other earphones that use rubber, they use foam and that creates a much better seal. With those and the Fuze, I can watch movies on a train or plane without having to blast the volume.

As for encoding videos for this thing (with Rockbox installed), it's a piece of cake on a Linux machine. As long as you have MPlayer (mencoder) installed, then the third post of this thread has the command you need:

http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26003

As someone who has used a ton of mp3 players, I find these to be the best. I really, really like the physical scroll wheel (as opposed to the touch version on the iPods).

Yes it is. I bought one from Woot last year, installed RockBox immediately and have loved it ever since.

It's a simple install, you simply copy some files over. It doesn't even overwrite the existing system, so if you want to go back, you can delete the files or hold down left while turning it on to get the standard interface.

Your Loss... They're Media Players for those who actually care about Sound Quality/Versatile Media Playback.

These are nice but I have learned to stab the Clips! Throw a clip on this and I'll buy three of them. The clips on the Clip are just too handy for me to even think about buying a player without a clip. Yeah, I said clip again!

My Sansa Fuze 4GB was the single best Woot purchase I have ever made. Even though it was refurbed, I did a double take to make sure it wasn't new. Light, nice bright screen, and it works as a small media player you can take with you.

Also, using Video4Fuze, it's easy to convert and put videos on it. I've watched more than a couple episodes of Futurama this way. Sure, the screen is small, but it works in a pinch.

Highly recommended. If you missed it before, get one now.

Very Much So, and RockBox (as of two weeks ago) works perfectly fine with Sansa Fuze V-2 devices.

No... It's not that small (about the same dimensions as the Nano 3rd generation), but there are a number of very inexpensive cases available throughout the 'interwebs' for the Fuze, and it works very well for active lifestyle functions.

I got one of these a while back and I it works fine but I must say the design is slightly flawed. I think many people that have used Sansas for any period have time have had them freak out on you and just become unresponsive. The first time this happened I thought mine broke; but if you take the things apart and take the battery out then put it back in, they will reset. But with this model you can't get to the battery with out basically destroying your mp3 player. I thought he damn thing was done for, but if you leave it alone for a day or two and let the battery drain completely, then recharge it, it seems to work. But that is of little use if you want to use the thing right now!

I don't have a Sansa as cool as this one, but you can't call yourself a true wooter until you own at least one variation of a Sansa device.

It's like our version of a secret handshake or something.

why does woot change the word L o V E to stab?
is the l word forbidden here?

i got one of these (refurb from woot!) a while back. i prefer it to my ipod classic 160. the sound is excellent, and having an FM tuner and a voice recorder is great.

the battery life's excellent, and compared to the ipod classic, it disappears in size and weight. the fuze is 57g, and the ipod's 136.

in fact, i'd left the fuze in one of the two dozen or so pockets of my scottevest; i couldn't find it for a week. i didn't even know it was there while wearing it.

I bought one of these from Woot a few weeks ago. It's pretty great, but I haven't been able to figure out what kind of video file is compatible with it (there was already an AVI on it, but I tried adding an AVI and it told me it was not compatible). Also, Sansa's video conversion program apparently does not work on my computer (which I also bought from Woot). Still worth the $23, though.

My Girlfriend was bugging me for an ipod nano, but after borrowing my fuze for work one night...she would not give it back to me. Lucky for me Woot had it up the next day (few weeks ago now).

Loved these for years now. Only reason I have had to replace them was because they get STOLEN.

And they must be discerning consumer thieves because one time I had both my ipod nano and my Fuze on the car seat...and they only took the FUZE...odd i know.

Just wish they would Woot a clip since its so small i lost it somewhere in texas...

I have the 2 GB Fuze and it is rock solid. I have owned many players over the years and the Fuze is without a doubt one of the best on the market.

I've now got 3 of these from Woot and I stab them. The micro sd/hdsc slot is good up to 32GB. the 32gb cards are a bit expensive, so I loaded mine with 8GB cards for about $15 each. Well worth it. There's no delay between the card and the internal memory. Really nice. the menu on the player is easy to use. You also don't have to eject it from your computer-just unplug the device. Sound quality appears good to me. Also has an on the go playlist. Hmmm...can't really justify ANOTHER one....yet......

The only thing that would make it better, would be a built in speaker. There are times when I want to listen without earphones and still be able to carry it around.

it's bigger and heavier than the sansa clip - it weighs 2 ounces. the clip is an excellent size and shape for a runner.

but this one's great for strolling . . .
