Anyone else in shock that NightGhost didn't get a quality post on this one? C'mon Woot, give him number 1,200!

Gee, my avatar looks just like me!

These have 3 different connection types that screw on. It shouldn't be an issue.

As long as you don't have kids, or pets, or a husband, you should be safe, though.

I don't have kids, or pets, or a husband, so I'm quite happy with the stack of cardboard boxes that support the surrounds at the moment...

I have a Sony system as well. I sanded down the finish and repainted with matte black. They look great with my Sony 350 sats

A: They never show them with the ugly wires hanging down (just like in computer desk shots).

B: My cats will knock them over.

The stand itself is hollow and has a hole specifically designed to let you feed the speaker cable through it to the base so you would only have maybe a few inches of wire visible right next to the speaker itself..

..unless you're a big spender and use horribly overpriced Monster Cable speaker wires, in which case you wouldnt want to hide it anyway.. what's the point of spending lots of money needlessly if nobody ever notices?

And your cats probably wouldn't knock these over unless they have a penchant for trying to stand on top of a small box with no easily visible means of support. Most cats I've known are smarter than that.

Most.

I wouldn't trust the balance. These are great for small satellites, but monitors might be a bit too much

Stereo- Any decent $30-$60 Indoor/Outdoor speakers; Any decent 2.0 or 2.1 Computer geared speakers, i.e. amazon had Logitech 2.1 THX units for $90 recently.

5.1- Philips 5.1 Speakers plus amp (refurb)
for $100 here on Woot.

best o' luck,

These are fine till your young male cats come crashing through the TV room. Thats why I mount my speakers to the wall.

Yes, included is a screw that fits into the back of the speakers perfectly.

Pretty much every cat I've known has found sitting atop such things to be irresistible. We obviously have known different cats!

That was the fastest I ever got anything from Woot...Definitely heavy enough to be stable with my little Logitech satellites on them. None of the screws or brackets included work with the mounting slots but all that was needed was a few M5 nuts.

I'm impressed. Nicely made and they seem pretty stable. No cats to worry about in our house. If you don't like the silver just paint 'em black.

For some reason FedEx Home "corrected" my address from the correct Addy & Phone # to an incorrect one. My neighbor was good enough to drive my delivery over to my house at the original address. What is up with FedEx Home? (and my apologies to Woot )

The plot thickens ... FedEx claims the only people who could "correct" this address would be me (and I did not!) or Woot. So Woot, just what did you do here?????

Mine arrived the other day. i don'y know who it was but it wasn't Fedex or UPS that delivered them. Maybe Yellow Truck. Anyways I've been needing speaker stands for my rear speakers for years. Since I bought my speaker set. I was surprised at how heavy these were. the base must be solid lead. Also was surprised that for the weight these were only $5 to ship. They work great and look good too. My speakers are Logitech Z-560 and I had to mount them then kinda bend them back a little. Otherwise they would point at the floor. I don't worry about them tipping over and killing my dog at least. Very nice set. And for the money it was an excellent buy. Easy to put together too.
