And I've never had success with multiple windows. I've had more success with one window and patience.

The reason I joined woot was for Crap. Remember, back in the day, when they would post BOCs at midnight, and that was their daily item? And it would sell out almost immediately (as all craps).

As for what worked for me, here's what I did:

Kept refreshing until the error page was gone and I got the "I Want One" screen. I opened multiple pages until I got an "I Want One" screen.

Once I got to that screen, I clicked "I Want One" ONCE and waited. I did NOT try this on multiple pages, just one page.

It was slow, but I got to the page where I enter my CC code, then clicked the "this info is correct".

Next, I clicked the big yellow button and waited. It took a solid 2-4 minutes for it to finish processing.

For those who haven't had any luck getting one, just remember to never hit refresh after you've clicked on a yellow or gold button - be patient and let the server process what its doing. Don't try to open another woot page either, once you've clicked a yellow button. And always be sure you are logged in ahead of time so you don't have that extra step.

Edit: BTW, I use the Wootalyzer, but I already had "Your Order is Processing" before the Wootalyzer even knew it was posted. It still managed to take me to the Buy One page, but it may have already been sold out.

They still do that on special occasions, like XMas. The also did it for a while on Woot Birthday and April Fools, but recently they have had a game of some sort on those days.

If you think about it, its not good business to put the Crap up on random days. That means they sell out in 10 minutes, and the site sits idle for 23 hrs 50 minutes.

When the numbers show up, just type them - don't click on the field where they are. That will automatically take you to the screen where you can input your information. Only took me six or seven tries before I RTFM. You can put in your complete number, the site converts the last two digits to xx. When you finally get shipping information, which will probably be around Nov 4th, click on the pencil to update your information.

You have to type the numbers....and there's nowhere to type them in to (no text box or what not), so just type them into the ether. Not the most user friendly, but once you get the hang of it, it works.

Only thing I snagged this go'round was the Bizzle O Crizzle.

It was a surprise as I was at work (mega lag and robust security in place). Had two tabs running and the first one buttafuocoed and the 2nd one got through after long waits.

FINALLY! i got my hands on some random crap.

First Bucket of Candy evar!

Scored one from my Droid in a parking lot as I was leaving work to grab a very late lunch. Hooray for my normally cursed-upon 3G service!

My ideal bag would come with a DECT 6.0 phone but since Woot has been fairly devoid of them (except the giant set) I'll just hope for good crap. Getting something I can use is great, but just opening it is the best part!

Yeah! Getting the Batch Of Cookies may distract my wife from seeing the three airhorn arrive.

The wootalyzer worked great last month. This month it was 3-4 minutes late refreshing. I manually F5ed at the right time, and was just lucky. I actually got to the credit card screen in 2 different windows, but wasn't going to press my luck and trying to buy on both of them.

There was an earlier question about whether or not you ordered any items before the Banishment Of Carnage... Yes, I ordered a few items. But so did a co-worker, and they got hosed.

I got mine at work,it wasn't finished processing the order when I left, so had to wait until I got home to see if it actually went through! I am so excited, it's been since March of 2007 since I been able to snag one.

I was browsing the internet on an unrelated site and noticed page load times slowed. I'm on a Fiber connection to my ISP so I was betting it wasn't my connection. After a second or two, I thought it may be that a terrorist attack knocked out part of the internet... or woot! was selling a box of calendars. Appears to be the latter of the two.
