Dang. Somewhat tempted.

I ran 100BT to the Blu-ray player, but need a small switch so I can add the TV and game system to the network.

This comes to $12 for a 4 port switch, only thing I could find to match it was a couple of no-name 5 port switches at New Egg which were not managed.

Hmmm... If only Woot! had shipped my frogs from the 9th...

People who don't have a personal IT tech to tell them they are casseroles, or someone who works for a business that believes they don't need an IT department and is too cheap to upgrade their network.

I just cleaned out my basement and found this exact router. I decided against putting it on eBay, thinking no one would want such an old piece of shzit.

This is getting silly.

It's incredible that this model is still around. I had the 1-port version (BEFSR11) in 1999. It was a great router at the time - but I don't think it's worth the potential exposure. Consider the latest firmware for this device was released on 4/01/2004. That's years of unpatched vulnerabilities...

They'll work fine as a cheap way to get a small subnetwork set up in a couple rooms of the house. The 10/100 stat isn't to worrisome, since I have the only gigabit piece of hardware in the house.
