Oops ... another poster noted that it's actually TWO bags, for 64-oz. Well, that's a little better. On the other hand, at Costco (in Oregon) no shipping nor sales tax. So it would be, maybe, about the same price as Costco. Still not a Woot-worthy buy.

15 for 3 lbs is 5/lb. 2 32 oz (fyi...32 oz is 2 lbs NOT 3 lbs) bags for 22 is 5.5/lb (not including shipping). i'll just buy mine at my local sams.

too expensive either way... stale?

Thank you. That explains why I can eat pistachios, even though I am allergic to other tree nuts (ie Walnuts, cashews). I can also eat Macadamias. Same reason? I don't know...

Whoever says it's only one bag is full of carp. I ordered 2 and it said 4-32oz bags.

They sell one 32oz bag on amazon for 24.77 so how can this be a bad deal?

Peapod sells these nuts for $9.60 a pound, not taking into account tax and shipping. In that regards, $28 for 4 lbs is a good deal.

In college I had a friend whose dad was stationed in Naples. 2 or 3 times a year, he would travel into Turkey and send back 10 lbs of Turkish Pistachios. Reed was the most popular guy in the dorm. Until we had eaten them all.

Funny, I just finished a bag of the exact brand of pistachios. The empty bag is still on my desk... Must be a sign that I need more! WOOT!

I'd say not a bad price for 4lbs... Sams was pretty close last I remember but I don't have a membership there anymore.

As the legend goes, the Queen of Sheba made an official declaration that pistachios were an exclusively royal food. In fact, she even went so far as to forbid commoners from growing the nut for their own consumption. Nebuchadnezzar, the ancient king of Babylon, also had a passion for pistachios. It is said that he had pistachio trees planted in his hanging gardens. And the Mogul Emperor, Akbar the Great, hosted lavish banquets befitting his royal status. He often served chicken at these banquets, and ordered all the chickens to be fed pistachio nuts for 6 to 8 weeks in advance to give the chickens a more delicious flavor.

So, all I have to do it catch a flight to Oregon ($800) and rent a car ($50) and drive to Costco and get a membership ($55) and then I can get a better deal on these? Hells yeah!

These are great nuts. I have bought these twice in the past. They aren't as good as the Fiddyment Farms ones they had a long time ago, but were well worth the price. Not one bad nut out of my last 4 lb order. Strong buy signal here.
