worth it for the heads alone, I'd say. Even if they're small!

Not the tripod I wanted. Bring on the telescoping grey tripods! (better be more specific)

Signatures are harshing my mellow.

Wondering if this would support my Nikon D40. Not sure if it comes in under that 2.3 lbs with a decent lens on it.

Any idea how tall these are? They look like what I need compared to the attachments on top. I'm thinking of using one to hold my cell phone in the car.

If your trying to take still shots without camera shake..tie a string to a bolt/screw, screw it into your cam, then drop the other end of the string to the ground, step on it and make it taught and take a pic..but you all know that already..so nevermind

Probably not -- it will only work if your cell phone has a tripod mount (I'm not aware of any phones that offer this).

The description says "lightweight digital SLRs" but once the lens is attached, you're over the weight limit. Maybe this would work with a Micro 4/3 camera with a Lensbaby... maybe not. Don't use these for anything more than a point & shoot or a Flip-type videocam.

These are junk and total ripoff of Gorilla Pods. The Gorilla pods work really well.

I just want to say that I actually got to SEE my first Bulls Of Chicago earlier....and of course as soon as I clicked to buy the server LOCKED UP. Couldn't get back on at all. I know people have done alot of griping about this lately. I'm honestly thinking of moving on from this site. Better deals at Amazon anyway...just something about the graphics here that keep me coming back. Must be the bouncing button ;)

D40 body (with battery) is roughly 1.2 lbs. Add a decent lens, 35mm f1.8 AFS DX (roughly 0.5 lbs), and you're under 2 lbs.

D80/D90 body with battery is roughly 1.5 lbs, so with the 35mm lens above the load would also be under 2 lbs.

Amazon appears to have the same model 620 flexpod for far less

http://www.amazon.com/SunPak-620-FLEXPOD-Flexpod-Flexible-Tripod/dp/B000JC8WYA/

however if you read the reviews, the quality seems lacking and is not as good as the Joby made flexable tripods.

Seems like a pass to me

Will this work with my flipcam and my motorcycle?
