Apparently this is such an amazing deal that the rush to get them crashed the servers as badly as a Bag of Coal for 45 minutes.

It crossed my mind.....and made me put down the iPod touch to actually go into the office to check and make sure it wasnt just my wireless that was down.

I'll bet it was whatever's been impacting their performance for the last four days. But aside from that, you win four anti-internet points for using the correct "would've" instead of the internet standard "would of."

Ha.

I'd heard each manufacturer has their own way of rating contrast ratio and that there was no way to compare them across manufacturers based on numbers alone.

This proves it:

Philips 32" LCD HDTV Features:Contrast ratio (typical): 2500:1

Vizio 32" LCD HDTV Features:100,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio

No way does the Vizio have THAT much better contrast ratio than the Philips! That'd made the Philips so faded...it'd be unreal.

Well, you're also assuming that (a) contract ratio measurements are linear and (b) Dynamic contrast ratios are measured similar to static contrast ratios.

Maybe they just launched a DDOS at themselves during their Bag 'O Craps?

If only this deal were $230 or less, then it would be worth buying, since it's a refurb w/ a very short warranty.

http://www.amazon.com/L32HDF11TA-32-Inch-2-Year-Warranty-Black/dp/B003LPUWV8 free ship, same price, 2 year warranty is complimentary.

40 incher is only $430.
In case you were wondering about TCL, it's a Chinese brand they advertise alot on China's internet media. I don't consider it so terrible sounding since the LCD Panel is Samsung, and everything else is made in that country these days anyway.

No deal at all and only a 90 day warranty.

This seems like a pretty good deal but I will not bight for the simple reason that these are refurbished.

It is just to likely that you will need servicing on a big electronic item like this and buying a square trade warranty...well, defeats the purpose of buying a refurbished in the first place to save money.

Because it's not Black Friday. I will say that Best Buy has a brand new Dynex for the same price. I am assuming since you are looking at cheap TV's that it's a bedroom TV or at least not your main TV. In which case, brand names really don't matter, and 720 is enough for a 32inch TV. You cannot tell the difference.

As someone that has had two Vizios die of the same problem, I've got to say;

Say no to Vizio!

Google "pop of death" if you don't believe me.
