That's gotta be one of the highest quantities i've ever seen sold on Woot.

There's been more things sold before...
Like those 50000 sets of wootoff lights, 10% of which also got loaded with some crаp...

I believe I said "one of the" highest quantities.

I never said THE highest.

Not bad for a grandma to have in a junk drawer.

No serious or semi serious person of trade would own these.

Nice try woot.

LoL DUH they cost 3 dollars. No serious or semi person of trade would be looking on woot for tools

And my six year old daughter will love having some 'real' tools for her toolbox

get one of the Burton(or other brand) multi tools made specifically for snowboarders. My son is a snowboard instructor and he uses it all the time on his board and on his students. They are not expensive(not 2.99 either though).

Heh, I figured. That's why I didn't launch into an explanation.

I'm glad I ordered early. Got the multi-tool, precision set and ratcheting set. I own good Craftsman tools but these will save me from walking to the shed in the cold and rain each time I need a screwdriver. Thanks Woot.

We should get this before Christmas, it usually ships within 5 days IIRC

I too was disappointed that i didn't order within the first hour, because those precision tools sold out quick!

I was told on Monday that the sets had shipped when I tried to change the shipping address. Here's hoping they come in today as I am leaving for winter break.

Really? You know that for sure? Granted, no trade person would use these for their work, but as tools for light jobs around the house, why not?

Got mine today.
23 pc. 1/4 driver
22 pc precision screwdriver
60 pc multi tool

They're ok. I was at Sears & they had sets just like these (without the Skil name) for $5.

Got a letter saying they are out of what i ordered and will send me something else instead if i don't cancel by today. i waited 9 days for them to say they are out of it. Maybe that is why i no longer log on to Woot every day like the good ol days when the company had its sh_t together. i will accept what they send me but i feel they should give it to me and also refund my money just for false advertisement. Amazon bought out this company and now they are running it into the ground. If they cant get the small stuff right then how can i trust them with a large purchase ?

What a colossal screw-up. I got the email that said they had none of the three pieces I ordered. Obviously, they sent out what they had in some idiosyncratic order, and only then let the other poor saps know. And it wasn't first-order-first-ship -- I ordered early, and here I am screwed by Woot. One day, one deal (if we feel like it and don't f**k up).

Actually I believe this is mail fraud.

An I AM PISSED about this and im done with woot.

These were ordered as x-mas presents and now I gotta go find things like this for more because WOOT has lost it's way.

I love it when you kids get all complainy.
"oh, Woot didn't send me a $3 tool set, they sent me a different $3 tool set, I was going to give that $3 tool set to my grandma who lives in the woods and needs tools to survive!"

Come on people. They sold 50,000 $3 tool sets, most of which were slight variations of the others. So, they miscounted a bit, big deal, it happens. Do you complain when McDonalds doesn't put 5.3 grams of mustard on your burger (your $1 burger, mind you...).

Now, on to people who aren't complaining about the Woot service.
I got the 009-154-SKL 20 piece 1/4 inch ratchet set. Now, I'm a pretty proficient guy when it comes to tools, but for the life of me I cannot tell how to get the sockets on the tool. From one picture, it appears that I need to pull the black plastic knurled knob off, but i don't have my set in front of me (my $3 set, mind you). So, anyone have it in front of them, and is willing to pull the know off and check that the sockets go there?

My order came...

*Worst*
Multi-tool: Heavy, cheap quality. Doesn't seem very useful.

*OK*
Precision Tool: Lots of attachment bits, but the extension feels loose when attached. Looks somewhat useful.

*Awesome*
Ratcheting Screwdrivers: Came in a PAIR, good quality, design, and feel, lots of attachment bits. Definitely the most useful of the three items.

Received mine today, ordered a multi-tool but ended up with two ratcheting screwdrivers instead. Meh...it's Woot, for $3 I don't really care.

Your analogy doesn't make any sense, people arnt getting what they ordered! Using your poorly thought out analogy it would be more akin to you going to McDonald's and ordering a Mc double and receiving a Mc chicken instead.. In which case yes im sure most people would complain.

yes you pull the black plastic "knob" (more like a little disc) off and that is how you attach the sockets and the extension thing too. under the black knob you'll see a part that sticks out with 4 sides -- just the right shape for the sockets. enjoy!
