I must say, this has got to be the worst Christmas eve I have had in the history of Christmas eves. Everything has gone wrong tonight, as my husband had to leave me to deal with a crisis with a friends home we're house sitting, then was called away from that to deal with a crisis at his workplace because he was the only person they could get in touch with on Christmas eve, which left me holding the entire Santa "bag" on my own. Now, after a super frustrating night, it ends with me not being able to get a Barn Of Cows. Is it possible to be thoroughly depressed over not getting one? Usually not. But on this night, I think I will curl up in the fetal position and cry. :-(

I figured out why I can't get a Christmas Bag of Coal, because my birthday is December 24, it makes it impossible for me to access the servers on the 25th of December.

Maybe next year we can have Christmas Eve Bag of Coal? ;)

Order confirmation page turned into a "server too crappy" after 10 minutes. At least year I was finished wrapping gifts and didn't forget about Woot's Christmas offering gifts.

Whatever you are doing WOOT, keep doing it this way. Rather than selling out in seconds I managed to get one after almost half an hour! I don't know why I didn't give up as the history of this would indicate I would have left empty handed. Merry Christmas!

Wait, 2% of the people who grabbed this joined today? How is "today" calculated? Within the past 24h, or starting at 00:00 CST? Because if it's the latter, that's pretty amazing!

I'm also surprised that this lasted for nearly half an hour! The SSL order page was pretty responsive; it seems that it's just the regular www that was dying. I was shocked at how smoothly it went; got to the order page seconds after midnight, and was all done by 00:01 CST--no server crapouts at all during the order itself. Trying to refresh the main page and view this forum, OTOH, is a different story: that crapped out on me again and again.

The "buy" page seriously needs it's own server. I got there, clicked buy, crapped out, did that 3-4 times, no Bag of Coal.

Well, I got one. Sailed right through at 10 pm sharp, for some reason. But I'm a little disappointed that there was no puzzle this year ot prevent the bots from getting bags. Christmas is the one day out of the year that you typically have to actually be at your computer in order to make the purchase.
