note2001 wrote:And there you have found the ONLY reason I can think of for one to get these. Marble counter tops scratch very easily. Solution choices are:

- Replace countertops when they look like hell;
- Ditch the maker & head out to Starbucks/DnD daily;
- Go insta... no I won't say it;
- Skip the Joe and go right for the Monster; or
- The grandma solution: put a dishtowel under the coffee maker.

Of course these little handy caddy gems might, and probably do, drag with the weight on them. (I don't see a hovering mechanism to keep it balanced) Back to the dishtowel.

I ordered three sets! Why? Because we have an extra deep counter and MANY small appliances that sit lined up back there. I mean...many many many. You want a review of ANY small appliances you have ever heard about? Ask me.

We have been trying to come up with a way to made them more streamlined and as if they are SUPPOSED to be there, instead of just piled on the back of the counter.

Chessus Crust, I hate morning ppl. It's so funny how over-dramatized these commercials always are, making the 'everyday ppl' look so Jatravartid. I just love them! I could really use this caddy...

I'm going to go slide my coffeemaker out from under the cabinets, pour myself a cup, and maybe when I come back fully caffeinated this won't sound so dirty.

Well I was really on the Fence about this until I see that the Box says its FDA approved. If such a large and reputable organization like the Food and Drug Administration says its safe to use then who am I to argue.

Oh well, can't win them all!

If I wanted to look at crap, I just don't flush the toilet. Cheap, and occasionally, amusing... And just like reading tea leaves, one can see wondrous things, maybe even Jesus. Too bad eBay won't let me auction it, despite the fact that the site is already full of crap.

Top tray is 12" long, bottom tray is 9" long, extended length is 21"? So it comes apart when fully extended???

Why can't I order more than one (set of two)? It won't let me choose I Want Two (or Three). Maybe because it's Jatravartid enough to buy one set--they don't allow you to be Jatravartid enough to buy more than one.

- It might actually be decent for the stuff in the back of the fridge.

Five fairly ridiculous uses for the Handy Caddy:

- Remember that scene in The Blues Brothers, when Jake and Elwood get kicked out of the penguin's office, and how she didn't walk back into her office, but rather, glided backwards into it? Yeah, if the lighting was just right, you could re-enact that. But on a much smaller and less impressive scale. Perhaps with an all-cat cast.
- Place them in your back yard and put garden gnomes on them. Every day, move the caddy slightly forward to give your unsuspecting roommates/family members/neighbors the impression that the gnomes are slowly advancing on your house.
- It would be a mediocre pedestal for Aunt Mabel's urn.
- In emergency situations, can be used to paddle a canoe through calm waters.
- Put it on your night stand to make things that are slightly out of reach magically transform into things that are slightly less out of reach. Or, slightly more out of reach. Whatever cocks your pistol.

Put it in your bath tub.

My mom has a Keurig B60 SE. Anyone know off-hand if the dimensions of this would be good to hold one? I'm trying to find out the dimensions of the coffee brewer but I'm both lazy and slow.

EDIT: Reading through comments I see a few people mentioning their Keurigs and dimensions, so I'm going to go out on a limb and assume this would work perfect. Yay for reading!

For all of you haters out there.... Imagine having to muscle your 4-quart Kitchen-Aid stand mixer from beneath the cabinet to where you can tilt it up to make yourself some tasty cake. Or better yet, have your sweetie throw his/her neck out attepmting to make some Valentine cake for you because he/she could not move said mixer easily. There. 'Nuff said.

For those of us with a Bunn coffee maker, it won't work. I was excited when I first saw it; however, if it is only 12.5" when not extended, it won't work with a Bunn. I know it extends to 21" which would work; however, what's the use of having it is you have to leave it extended all the time?

I bought one of these a few months ago for $20 and I love it. It's ridiculous how much easier it is dealing with my coffee maker. You wouldn't think having to drag a coffee maker across your counter top could ruin your day, but believe you me, it can.

I'm really excited to be getting 2 more of these little miracle workers.

duh, you get TWO of these! Handy Caddy on the table, Lazy Susan on top of first Handy Caddy, and finally second handy caddy on top of Lazy Girl Susan! Top the whole stinking stack with a bowl of Fritos and nacho sauce and make sure the whole thing is in the center of the table. Then, let the 16 year old boys in the house announcing that if they make a mess, they clean it up! Sit in a comfy spot close enough to videotape for a future You Tube laugh, and enjoy the fun!

If I'm not mistaken, all commercial kitchens must use FDA approved products (cutting boards, knives, etc). Bacteria can grow on anything (except your eyes and in your lungs, but that's besides the point), including this woot. This is FDA approved if (i'm presuming) you're able to take it apart and properly sterilize it.

I am so getting these for my mom! She has really bad rheumatoid arthritis in her hands, and the only place on the kitchen counter the coffee maker can go (because of short cord & outlet placement) is under a cabinet, but the lid on top can't open all the way so she has to slide the coffee maker forwad to do so. This will make it SO much easier on her!

Re: felt pads underneath your appliance. May work for some appliances, doesn't work well with espresso machines. With felt pads underneath, when you turn to lock in the portafilter, the machine will rotate, meaning you'll need to put your other hand on top of the machine (near the boiler and/or cup warmer). Ouch.

Re: the grinder in the photo, it's a Cuisinart DBM-8 Supreme Grind Automatic Burr Mill, but it is not a true burr grinder. It has nubs that crush the coffee into inconsistent pieces as opposed to a real burr grinder that cuts the beans into consistent pieces. Inconsistent coffee fragments means inconsistent flavor extraction. Smaller pieces get overextracted (bitter), larger pieces get underextracted (sour). Grind inconsistency is why the whirly blade grinders aren't a good value either. A true electric burr grinder for drip or press with a good range of grind sizes will cost at least $100 and a good one about $150-$250. If you want to grind for espresso where grind consistency and adjustability are critical, expect to spend at least $220-$250 at the minimum. For the best coffee, proper water temperature, fresh beans, grinding right before brewing are other rants for another time. If you enjoy good coffee (rather than just looking for a caffeine kick), a good grinder is almost more important than the drip or espresso machine. You can't make good coffee or espresso with badly ground beans.

In for 2 packs, one pack for my Gaggia Classic espresso machine (steaming milk means pulling it out from under our new cabinets) and my Baratza Vario grinder and the others for my in-laws' Tassimos.
