I don't believe I was shipped the wrong product, I KNOW I & the other 1472 people that bought this POS where shipped the wrong product!!!! Please read the email, below, sent to Woot's CEO, media dept, and services dept:
To Whom it My Concern @ Woot.com:
I am completely pissed about the POS device your company shipped, The Augen Gentouch78, order #32387715.
This was a complete bate & switch on Woot's part; this device is NOT the device advertised. The device that was shipped is an older Gentouch78 v1 (NBA7800ATP) NOT the advertized NBA7800ATP-B (Gentouch78 v2), there are major differences in the models; The Gentouceh78 v1 was riddled with bugs impart due to a slower, weaker, and an unstable 600Mhz processer (The advertised device has a stated clock speed of 800Mhz, the device that was shipped has a benchmarked clock speed of 600Mhz), this along with the other bugs, that were mostly hammered out in the v2 model, making this essentially a pretty expensive door stop, this is one of the reason K-Mart & TigerDirect pulled the v1 off their shelves.
The differences are very obvious. The model I received, has
1: a 2.5mm headphone jack (The NBA7800ATP-B has a 3.5mm jack, your advertized specs state the model you were selling came with a 3.5mm jack)
2: The ARM processor clocks @ 600Mhz (The NBA7800ATP-B has an updated ARM processor that clocks @ 800Mhz, your advertized specs state the model you were selling came a processor with a clock speed of 800Mhz)
3: The glaring difference is the printed, on-device, Model Number, the device I received is a NBA7800ATP NOT the advertized NBA7800ATP-B, also the included owner’s manual entitled ‘Gentouch78 “Table” PC’, this misspelling was corrected in the Gentouch78 v2 (NBA7800ATP-B) owner’s manual that is entitled ‘Gentouch78 “Tablet” PC’
Woot Shame on you!!!!!!!
I am no longer willing to buy anything from your site, since this is not the first time Woot has used poor business practices in regards to a bate & switch , and I'm going to make it a priority to post your company’s deceptive business pratices in every tech blog, forum, social network and consumer product group that I can, along with informing the national / local Dallas BBB, and the Carrolton chamber of commerce.
Your company sold a total of 1473 devices @ $124.48 per device, Woot made $183,359.04 dollars by false advertising. I do believe there are laws that protect consumers from companies like yours, and I’m quite sure the Fox4, NBC 5, ABC8, and CBS11 news, would love to sink their journalistic teeth, into a story of a local company duping 1473 people out of their money by false advertising.
Extremely Disappointed Customer,
