Damn! I clicked on "I want one" and by the time the server acknowledged my request, the new item was up (even tho my URL had parameters for the Big Orphaned Cetacea).

I got the text, had to walk back to the computer (at least 3-4 minutes) opened Chrome and everything loaded as quickly as any normal woot!.

Damn.... I got the the Click the buy button and then it just sat there trying to load. Surprised the servers never went down but it was slower than slow.

My first Bag O Crap.... Now batting 1 of infinity.. Perf1

Got one! Now the routine starts all over again!

Step 1: discussion of..
Step 1a: great thrill of getting a Big o' Cosmos
Step 1b: moaning and gnashing of teeth
Step 2: Wait for shipping update. Misc discussion of how great woot is, what the rules are, etc.
Step 3: posting of shipping notices (1-2 weeks out) with 1 lb sizes etc. and education of noobs regarding the letter and such.
Step 4: updates with packages sizes and weights (2 weeks out). This accompanied by questions about why one's shipping information does not include the weight.
Step 5: Big o' Cosmos results start trickling in (3-4 weeks out) with pictures and descriptions.
Step 5a: moaning about crappy crap and hazzas for wonder crap
Step 5b: reminders from knightghost or someone that you should read the rules about crap.
Step 6: reports surface of a letter (or two, three, etc.). Picture of said letter comes 1 hour or so later.
Step 5c: continued trickle of pictures and lists of crap
Step 6a: the Fedex notice of pending pallet arrival is reported to the letter recipients.
Step 6b: Pallet of bootie arrives at letter recipient's residence (2-3 weeks from today)
Step 6c: video of pallet arriving with accompanying pictures of the haul is posted
Step 6d: congratulations are posted with subconscious (or fully conscious) feeling of envy and remorse.
Step 7: drop off of posts and interest
Step 8: next wootoff (4-5 weeks hence)

I can't wait for another round of anticipation, excitement, let-down, and then renewed anticipation and, finally, more sleepless nights hitting F5...

Finally after 2 years and a few locked up orders I got be a bag o chips, gonna be like xmas waiting for it. Wonder what it;ll be, tap tap tap, thanks a woot!

Congrats, y'all. No crappy goodness here... they replaced my crappy old XP desktop at work with the malevolent nastiness that is windows 7, which appears to be unable to dig out of its own crap enough to let me get crap I actually want. So it goes. I'm going to start sneaking my Mac into work during Wootoffs from now on. Just works better.
