There is absolutely nothing wrong in having a cold dead hands policy.

certainly, so long as you transfer your Zune's content to an iPod

Looks like it will work with anything. Docks work with all the iPod/iPhones. Bluetooth connection for others and even an aux input for the rest.

Only 2 reviews on Amazon, but both are 5 stars. Their price is twice as much too, looks like a great deal!!! Sure wish I could use one.

I POD. I PHONE. I TOUCH myself.

Lots of "I" products. What's a guy to do if you buy other things, like Sansas and Droids??

Just what we need, another dock that only allows for one non-standard input.

So does this thing still connect to your iphone with a case on it, or do you have to pull it out of your case everytime you want to connect it or charge your phone?

I have a 2nd generation ipod touch. But, when I eventually upgrade will this thing be useless? (I mean besides the fact I could use the aux input which would be Sirius GPP.)

Not compatible with the iPhone 4, according to the Apple Store website.

With most docking stations you have to take off your cover...i found this handy tool though.

OK, I looked, it was a maybe, but it would be nice to have FM on the system. The specs were not very good, 10 W + 10 W, but that was with very bad THD, and is that rms or Peak to Peak?

It looks more like a nice charging station for two units, and by the way, you can play them also.

I will pass, and keep looking still hoping for a sound works type of unit that works with the iphone

This looks promising. It's a pretty recent article (April 2010).

"For users who require a convenient way to enjoy music while keeping their devices close to them, both systems feature built-in Bluetooth to wirelessly stream audio from an iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch (2nd generation or later), personal computer or any other Bluetooth compatible device."

Cool, I wonder if it can be used to transfer files between devices?

What is a dock adapter, why aren't they included and why don't they just make them fit without them?

I wish this would've come around last year. I already got something semi-similar. But probably way more crappy. Dangit!

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

Why does the product description say compatible with iphone4 and apple's website say it isn't? Who is right?

I know next to nothing about this stuff - will this work with the Sansa I bought from Woot last fall? (The IPhone? AC and car adapter I recently got from Woot works with it). Thank you in advance for advice.

It has an aux jack for non-ipod audio devices. It docks with iPhone 3G and 3GS, but maybe not iPhone 4.

Different devices are necessarily of different sizes, so an adapter enables them to fit. One usually comes with the device.

I was thinking about buying one to use with my iphone 4, but unfortunately there are reports that it is not compatible. Scroll down to the reviews to see.

Does anyone know whay type of cable will get audio and video from my iPhone 4 to my LCD TV? I've got an older iPod dock that I use now but I can get audio and video at the same time when I dock the iPhone 4 to watch a movie either loaded or streaming.

I was thinking of this product but it's way bigger than a small dock or cable and someone posted that Apple said it wo't work with the iPhone 4. Confused...

Thanks,
Jim

Would I be able to hear audio from any app through the speakers? That is, will it work with Pandora, or is it iPod functionality only?

I suppose some folks will like the double shuffle mode. But mostly, you can charge more than one device.

From the manual page 11: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Home/XW-NAC1-K_OperatingInstructions0427.pdf

"Attach the dock adapter to the iPod/iPhone connector port on the top of this unit.
An iPod/iPhone adapter is not supplied with this unit."

It seems very misleading to say it is compatible with iPods and iPhones when you need an adapter that is not included. From the diagram in the manual it looks like this is needed for all iPods and iPhones.
