Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

sorry for the millenials on this thread but what about papers (which I don't use), magazines (which I use extensively) and radio (my main source)!

no wonder the rest of the world thinks of the USA as a country of M O R O N S

This poll would have been better with a longer list of single responses along with a "check all applicable" option.

A bandolier of carrots would be appreciated about now

No "All of the above" plus newspapers,so I said Jon Stewart. Besides, that's the funny answer, (though some people fail to realize this.)

Speaking as someone who voted for this option (BTW, I really enjoy the daily polls, and kudos to whoever came up with the idea), I point out that Jon Stewart, unlike the so-called news shows, actually talks about the events of the day. He's interested, he cares, and he's involved.

What, I'm supposed to listen to Glenn Beck? Maybe not.

It takes months to find a customer, but only seconds to lose one.
The good news is that we should run out of them in no time.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending upon how you view it), Jon & his staff do much better fact checking than the vast majority of what you see on FNC, and they are skilled at finding and pointing out the hypocracy of those who are in power and in the spotlight. On both sides of the aisle and all those loons in state & local government and the business world.

"We hear of the conversion of water into wine at the marriage in Cana as of a miracle. But this conversion is, through the goodness of God, made every day before our eyes. Behold the rain which descends from heaven upon our vineyards, and which incorporates itself with the grapes, to be changed into wine; a constant proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy." Benjamin Franklin

Same here. Including Talk Radio, Network News updates at the top and bottom of the hour, and NPR.

But Jon Stewart shouldn't be your only source. He is funny and covers real news stories, but he is only going to cover news stories that he can make a joke out of.

Plus, if you take away the time he has with guests, he doesn't spend a lot of time on the news.

It is a very filtered news source -- not the big picture. Which is fine as long as people realize this and look for additional news from other sources.
