It's $56.31 less if you're lucky enough to live in NY State. The Woot sets comes to a total of $277.30 after taxes. Serendipity charges tax in Arkansas, California, New Jersey, Texas, Indiana, and the District of Colombia. Of course you're all going to report these untaxed purchases on your taxes.

I have 22" and a 37" Vizio, both purchased as refurbs. I have absolutely no complaints about either set. I would consider upgrading the 22" set with this one if it had 3 HDMI ports. I use the Ultra High Performance HDMI Switcher, 3to1 Switch so I can plug more than 2 devices into the 22" set. It's easier than plugging/unplugging cables but the active device often has to be set with the remote.

If you get this tv. There are a few things that should be turned off in menu. they are

noise reduction. Off gives the best picture

color enhancement it adds to much color and makes reds run

dcr makes the picture to dark on dark parts of a show movie

adaptive luma same as above it is the light sencer just like the old tv's of the 60 70's it sucks. When on the brightness fluter's do to room light or sun light.

audio all settings off

srs true surroundhd Screws up audio sounds like there in a hole. No bass like a am radio if turned on set to off

srs truvolume off it does not work on there tv's at all. With it on volume goes loud soft when changing channels off all channels have the same volume

All the bad reviews on there sets are from people who do not turn off them things. Light censer has never worked for any tv at all. Good ideal on paper but not in real life.

And you can't get a Squaretrade warranty on an "excellent" condition TV. You can only get them on New or Refurbished. The only way you can get a Squaretrade warranty, is if you list it as used and sell it on eBay.
I'd most definatly want an extended warranty.
Pay the extra $30 unless you want to chance a 30 day limited warranty.

Dimming CCFLs is quite a bit harder than dimming LEDs, and dimming CCFLs will likely impact their lifespan. Just compare the impact of lowering the voltage on a fluorescent bulb vs that on an LED. The LED, like that in flashlights, will generally dim. Fluorescent bulbs, however, will flicker.

LCD backlights are driven by a high frequency inverter, to vary the brightness the pulse width is varied, no flicker. I don't know the life rating of the bulb in this unit, but a CCFL tube typically lasts 30 to 60 thousand hours, longer than I'm going to worry about. I have a Hitachi 43" with a ambient light sensor, and it works perfectly. Visio has a good reputation, I'm just wondering how I can justify another TV...

Non-tecnical but important ?. I bought the refurbished 37" vizio a while back for a family room and love it. Is this 32" a good size for a master bedroom 13 ft x 17.5 ft. or too big?

We have a 32" Sony in our bedroom and it's a perfect size.

Can anyone help me out? Just bought a Visio, and there is about a 2 second delay between each channel. It makes channel surfing very difficult and slow. Is this a Visio problem? An HDTV problem or a cable company problem? It is really annoying and I may take it back.

where you see these as "excellent condition" elsewhere, you are buying an open box item that has gone through reverse management, and ended up on sites like Liquidation.com. I know, because I buy from them in bulk, and resell this very same TV for $270... New set, plastic protective tape still over the bezel and screen in most cases. New, this was $348 at Wally World, now $298 there, but $328 on their web site (I have to keep up with the competition).

Regardless of the origins of this or other TV's, $255 shipped for this is an awesome deal. Vizio panels I BELIEVE are made by Sony. Vizio is definitely gaining traction in the marketplace as a quality set with a great picture.. If I didn't already have one of these in each bedroom of my house AND my office, I'd be in for one...

edit: There have been instances where power supplies of main boards on these have gone kaput.. Maybe moreso than on most TV's.. These are very easy to repair when necessary, and the boards run between $30-$60 on Ebay vs. a tech charging $400..

I have a 27" in the master bedroom which is a bit small for the 12' x 14' room. I'm upgrading to this one. It won't be too big for your master bedroom - it actually seems like the perfect size.

AAAAW, two seconds. That means every 30 channels you lose a minute of your life. I think it's nature's way of telling you to do something else. But seriously, I do think it is your cable company or whatever physical connection you have. Have you asked anyone else with the same provider how long it takes for them?

If you have a set top box, (or converter, or gateway, or receiver... what ever your cable company calls it) The problem is going to be on their side. Think about it, if you have a box you are changing the channel on the box, the TV is staying on the same channel all the time. ;)

Although I did NOT buy this via WOOT, I have the exact TV in my bedroom. I really like it. Perfect size (not too small, not too big), and the picture is great. I bought mine brand new a few months back and I'd recommend it.

gotta be a typo. No USB port on this, but if there WAS (like some other sets), yes, you'd be able to view your pictures, and small tea files on your TV.

Could anyone speak as to how well this set could be used as a computer monitor? It says it "supports" 1920 x 1080 but my guess is that things might look fuzzy on a 720 set. Should I hold out for a 1080 set? Has anyone else tried this?

No cable box, direct connect to cable. I was just wondering if a different tv would work better, I guy I work with thought it might be the processor, and the delay is due to the tv trying to figure what form to show on the screen. So he thought a different tv with a faster processor (makes faster decision) might not have the lag. Could this be the problem.

I had a 32" 720p Panasonic in the bedroom (13x16) but it was too small. I wanted a 40" but the only ones small enough to fit in the armoire were the $799+ LED backlit models, way more than needed for a bedroom TV. I ended up getting a 37" Vizio 1080p(sellout last Saturday at Woot) and it's much nicer than the 32" was.
BTW the logo doesn't bother me in the least, in fact I kind of like it, if I didn't the black electrical tape would be an easy fix and I doubt anyone would notice it.
Like the other guy, I also have a 22" Vizio and 19" and neither has a glowing logo. Probably just on the 26" or larger??
Unless you sit right next to the TV (computer monitor for example) 720p is just fine for a 32", don't let that stop you.
My only complaint about Vizio is the poor audio but then that can be said about basically all LCD type TVs. For a bedroom it's probably OK but for anything else and I'd consider external speakers, amplified preferred.
Oh for the computer guy, ya for a computer I'd really suggest a 1080p, 768 just doesn't cut it for a computer IMO.

This is for 370VL. The 320 only goes to 1366x768.

I wooted this a few months back. I"ve purchases 3 TV's in the last year and this one never gets watched. It just does not look good. It suffers terribly from motion blur. I thought on a 32 screen that would not be a problem but it's pretty bad.

To all of those saying its not 1080p, remember that with a TV this size you will not really be able to tell. Also, I have yet to see anything but very limited amounts of DirecTV Pay Per View avaialble in 1080p. Almost everything is still 720p or 1080i (technically the same thing). This would be a great way to get an HDTV without blowing a bunch of extra money on a 1080p. By the time they are actually broadcasting in 1080p, you will need a new TV. Don't get too caught up in the marketing hype.

Being an older adult, and one who is not a big TV watcher, I was reluctant to buy a non-tube TV when there are tons of tube units out there used for $10. However, I grabbed a small (customer return) 19" Sansui for measly $85 and found that these new TVs really are better. I can even plug in my laptop and view videos I have on it, or stuff from Netflix. It also gets more over the air channels with my simple antenna than when using the converter box.

I only mention this to those who are fence-sitting about dumping the old, big tube box.

If you use this as a TV, you will probably sit more than 7 feet away from it, and you won't be able to tell it's not 1080p. Furthermore, it's a great price.

If you use this as a computer monitor, you will probably sit closer than 4 feet away from it, and the low resolution will be a problem. Furthermore, you can now buy 28" monitors at 1920x1200 for around this same price.

TV yes, monitor no.

It should do fine. I wouldn't worry about the lack of 1080p, even if you sit pretty close to it, since most 1080p XBOX 360 games are upscaled anyhow.

COD Black Ops looks pretty fine at 720p on my sons' 37" TV.
