Sorry sansa.. it's not better made.. maybe you like that you can just drag an drop stuff on it, but that's something i've gladly sacrificed for an Iphone

That's true but for the gym I'll settle for something that have an incredible battery life and more importantly, doesn't break the bank if it's a victim of a weight plate :p

Lotsa stuff...

The sansa is a great MP3 player, but in all honesty, i haven't needed a standalone MP3 player since I got my Iphone, 4 years ago..

Well, all I use are Sansa's and have spares of everything including several Sansa's. The problem being that when the battery dies in them we tried to change them out but destroyed the MP3 player since you have to sodder them....Bummer Now, I have my teenage son hooked on Sansa's also. I thought "what the hell" get some more adapters to go with our extra Sansa's so they don't feel lonely. Now, bring on the Sansa's!!!

To be fair, this is a charger... And if you have an iPhone with a USB cable, you can hypothetically just plug the USB cable into these. For 2 chargers, it's a good price.

Don't remember my Sansa Costing $300, Requiring a $100 battery replacement, and Costing $100 month to use, either.

Oh, and my wife's incredible has gps, google maps, user replaceable memory, youtubue, touch screen, -8- megapixel, and cost me $25 and extra battery costs $7, not $100. Also has a faster processor, and better cellular reception.

You can make phone calls with your ipod shuffle? It has face time? Youtube? GPS, Maps, Games? Wow.. I didn't know the SHUFFLE {which costs the ALMOST DOUBLE the price of a sansa clip while having half the memory)

I thank God for steve job's apple and the iphone every day. I don't know what we would do without the iphone.... the world would be a mess....

Who would we make fun of? How would we spot the Vogonity without actually having to talk to them? You'd have to wait for them to quote some made up figure about their macbook and who knows how long that would take. Thanks to the iphone its all out there right in the open for everyone to see.

In for one. I need some headphones and I'm about to get a new head unit for the car with an aux-in jack so a car charger should come in handy.

And your wife's incredible is a sansa?

Like I said, i haven't needed a stand-alone MP3 player since i got my Iphone. I'm not saying it's the only thing out there, i just don't see the big deal with sansa.

I prefer my Sansa over my phone for music. I’m lucky if my phone battery lasts 4 hours with all the crap they put on them these days. My Sansa lasts forever. I’m in for one just for the extra chargers that I can use with the Sansa or phone!

Quick comment about Sansa.

So we got one for my mother-in-law (a month later, already broken, but anywho) but I'm having a heck of a time finding any music management programs for the Mac that let you buy MP3s directly through the program (Like iTunes, Rhapsody, etc). Does anyone know of one?

She just got an iPhone so I'm half-tempted to just make her use it for music as well.

Signatures are harshing my mellow.

I have ones almost the same as those. The buds are worth it for that price alone, even if you don't have a sansa. I don't anymore. I fell on the first one breaking it's screen in a bike crash (the rest of the player worked I just couldn't see what I was doing on it). The other got lost in the mud when I totaled a car and wasn't found at the crash site till months later and no longer worked at all. Still like the buds though and paid about that just for them.

You're comparing an iPhone with a music player.

I'm comparing your iPhone with another cellphone, since, you know.. that would actually be something rational and logical.. It would be Sansational if you could see that.

Sort of like comparing an ipad to a computer.

You wouldn't compare a bicycle to a car, would you.. Oh, wait, you're an apple fan, you might.

Sansa = Music only player.
Must be compared to Ipods.
When you look at pricing, you should compare to similar priced ones.

Sansa Clip+ = 4GB, has a screen, has software, games, and a radio. Costs $29 ($49 for 8gigs)

Ipod Shuffle = 2GB, has NOTHING. = $50

There you go, I'll take that as a valid excuse to have a sansa. However I gotta say, the battery on the Iphone4 is awesome.. I can listen all day and play games and still have battery to spare.

But like I said, not everything has a great battery, in which case having a sansa for music makes sense.
