See that big handle? This thing is the Pocket Fisherman of Sewing Machines! Highly portable and perfect to take to your local coffee shop and just hang out.

If I didn't already have a sewing machine I would be all over this one! Unfortunately I don't have much time to sew these days and my current sewing machine still works. Although Mother's Day is coming... and I did convince hubby to Woot me a Dyson for x-mas... could make it a 2-fer for handy gifts from him! Hmm....

Maybe? I mean... here is where i am at. If she needs something get it. Washing machine sucks, bust your ass to get her a new one, vacuum sucks, same, etc, etc. If she's doing that junk as a house wife its just a tool to do her "job". its not a gift. it doesnt show you care or pay attention to her... If your both sharing it good, but its still not a gift for HER....

As sewing machines go, this is not really that expensive. My wife has one with a pretty serious LCD display. Got time to kill? Check out the $9,000 baby with built-in video:

and you though it was only for your computer!

this is going way faster than i'd have guessed. obviously, i am not an expert. just amazed at the woot-off indicator line that keeps shifting to the left. i wonder how many people participate in woot offs. must be way more than i would have guessed. no expert here, either...

was it christmas day this year? i remeber being at grandmas and pulling it up on edge on my phone. finally. and being sad it was sold out... so there is some crap to the Big Orphaned Cetacea. but usually... a woot off

Lets just say watch every woot at midnight forever. till you die. like the rest of us.

EDIT: okay. i always assumed the Big o' Cosmos randomness was people being creative... but when i just posted Bag Of Crap woot totally filterd it into some crappy unoriginal crap. and that upsets me....

Also, i am watching colbert. Did you realize that Congress voted to ban normal lightbulbs? I mean really? its a light bulb.... i have CPF, but warp off congress

That is true, IF the use of the machine is utilitarian mending and sewing for the family. A lot of sewing machines now aren't purchased for those practical uses; they are purchased for fun - for use in quilting, crafting, and other relaxing, creative, or recreational sewing.

Only if your wife doesn't believe you when she asks about her outfit and you pick your jaw off the ground and tell her she's the most beautiful woman on earth....

Although i guess if shes one of the vain sort and you rewired the scale to make her normal healthy weight show like she was some sort of vain skanky paranoid android she might appreciate it.....

Good point. My Mom taught me to cross stitch as kid and I liked it. My grandma made my sisters prom dresses. Liked knitting us slippers, afhgans, (no not the country and i probably spelled it wrong), etc. but still... I guess if i knew my wife/girlfriend enjoyed it i would just get her one randomly... Doesn't strike me as romantic... But obviously it depends on the girl ;)

EDIT: Or depends on the guy. You never know. I did like cross stitching when i was in elementary school.
