Finally got my B' O' Crap! Who else got one?

OK, I was buying a shirt during the meltdown. No idea if it went through...

Hi everyone. I ordered two shirts and like the "processing" screen said, I just went elsewhere and gave up waiting for them to go through. About 45 minutes later I received two emails confirming my orders. The servers are just backed up, be patient, it will go through.

Just breathe.

These shirts/tools have been up for 2 hours now.

Can we safely say this is the worst woot-off?

People are whining, and not reading the error message. It looks like this is what's going on: (it at least explains the symptoms)

On the Main page, I saw both the shirts and the Skil tools, alternating back and forth several times in the last 2 hours (noon to 2pm, ET)

I also saw a couple 503 errors with a one word message: "aiCache"

Google found this page for Aicache web accelerators: "Operating Accelerated Websites in Fallback Mode" http://preview.tinyurl.com/6j6tgbl (aicache.com)

I'm guessing that the backend service (web page generation) died (or some part of transport broke), and we're all getting random pages out of the caching server's stale cache of the main web page http://www.woot.com

This would explain the 503 errors, etc, initially from trying to hit other pages than the main Woot page (like the dynamic Comments pages which are unlikely to be cached)

A failures. There has been one.

Like all trained Woot! monkeys, as soon as the server started borking, I thought the Big o' Cosmos must have appeared somewhere, and promptly destroyed my productivity by madly clicking every available Woot! link. Oh, those laughing Woot! gods - they do like their little jokes, don't they.

Trying to buy a shirt, at least I got to the "order processing" screen but it's been stuck there for 10 minutes.

Listening to the woot trackers lose their damned minds has been entertaining. For the first half hour. 2 hours of this crap is ridiculous.
