estand wrote:yeah, please send updates. I got the camera too and trying to decide if I should keep this thing. I thought you have to send film to the camera company for them to develop and print (and its expensive.) a mailer envelope is in the box too.

1 x Glass aqua globes
1 x Nishika 3D film camera
1 x Woot Shirt 2011 calendar
2 x strawberry bags

For those that got the 3D camera:

The following is from a previous post from woot! user akakin (The permalink doesn't lead to their post, so I am just pasting it here):

The pictures from this camera are printed on paper that has a lenticular screen covering it. This is the stuff that you see on some cards that you can tilt left and right and see different images. It does work, but you get little vertical ridges on the print.

The good news is that it takes virtually any 35mm film. The bad news is there is only one place left that develops it, and it costs $2.80 per print. That's painful.

But I still wanted one of these to try out. (I used to do a lot of 3D and darkroom work). When you take the picture, it actually produces four images on the film. But, here's the trick to make your camera sort of useful.

Use slide film. Tell the process folks to NOT mount the slides. Just get the roll back. For each of the four pictures, cut off the far left and far right images. Place them into 3D slide holders. You can get those for about $4 for 30 of them. Then, you can place that in a viewer (check ebay for 35mm 3D viewers. They are there). Then you get decent images. Better than the old viewmaster reels because the film is bigger.

If you really want, you can use B&W film and make small prints from the outer two images. Those can be placed on a card and placed in the old style 3D viewers you see from the early 1900s. That works too.

Can it work? Yeah. Worth it? Your call.

Well, my package was scheduled for today, but instead of bothering to knock on my door he just left a note in my mailbox saying that I could pick up my box tomorrow morning at the post office. It's the second time he's done this, so I sent in a complaint. I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow too, like I have time to do his job... freaking jackass.

My large shipping box alone weighed more than all the items contained within. Seriously, the box is way oversized.

1 - Shirt.Woot art Calendar (torn)
1 - Strawberry bag (claimed by cats as a toy)
1 - Sansa earbud (one earbud torn from wire)
1 - Disney MixStick Music player (Looks like someone stomped and smashed the device. It is preloaded with Jonas Brothers music, so this condition is understandable).
1 - Polaroid Remote Control (Maybe DVD or DVR; anyone need this?)

The box was also claimed by the cats as their new fortress of box-itude.

My 5.5 box came today, on time, and full of useful stuff:
-- Strawberry bag (will go in the car so I don't forget to use it, then it will get used and get left in the house with all the other eco-bags I have)
-- Aqua globes (will go to the same friend that the last box went to, I can't grow plants)
-- Trudge fingerless gloves, size XL (not sure, maybe my motorcycle-loving brother-in-law? as they are too big for daughter to use when biking)
-- earmuffs (for next winter, but would have been useful in this morning's snow)
-- Franklin Covey black leather binder (hubby will be flipping me a coin for it as we can both use this one)

All in all, a good Bag!

Sorry, busy with other stuff and just saw this. It lets me edit it, but I don't think I see the anti-Spam field that allows me to key in the word. I hit update or whatever, and I think I go back to list. But nothing updates. A couple times I saw the Anti-Spam phrase it wanted me to key, but there was no place to key it.

Woot! Woot! The crap has landed! After FedEx moved the expected delivery date from today, to Friday, then to Saturday, it came today, anyway. The mailman caught me spying out the window to see if the box he had was from Woot, so the poor man climbed all the way up my crazy front steps to bring it to me at the door, rather than just dumping it in front of my garage door, like he usually does.

My 2.8lb Box of Cereal contained:

1x Strawberry resusable shopping bag
1x 180 ear warmers, black
1x Tabletop tripod
1x 3-pack mini Aqua Globes (all intact)
1x open retail box with 6 units of Colgate Wisp 8-packs (cinnamint flavor). One of the 8 packs was open, with a Wisp toothbrush missing and presumably used.

No air, letters, empty packages, or other warehouse chaff.

I'm really happy with my first-eve Big o' Cosmos. Just getting one more crap than bargained for was nice and everything will be either used or gifted. I just need to decide if I'm keeping the strawberry bag or letting my 3-year-old have it.

Thanks, Woot! I hope I get to play again soon!
