He has a step by step guide from beginning to end with links to the downloads. Roebeet, do you see any issues with following the guide that I have linked to? This is the one I am planning to use once I get my gTablet tomorrow.
Those ZIPs are all coming from that site (I checked) - so I cannot verify what they are. Imo, you should follow the devs instructions on XDA, and not that site. The instructions themselves seem sound, ie adding the latest pershoot kernel for example. But the files I cannot verify.
This is the security guy, in me. Once the links are changed, there's no way to know if those files are the same or altered in some way. I suppose that I should start signing my own ZIPs, as well.

i seen in your post (roebeet) you say not to use clockworkmod (cwm) for flashing tnt lite? cause of 1 day ota updates bricking gtab due to cwm?
so taking straight out of package and using an sd card. do you suggest just using the internal memory (sdcard) or using the micro sd (sdcard2)?
i read over nvflash and i think i should be able to do that just fine (incase i want to start from scratch?)
i still need to read/figure out what the adb tool is that you refer to and how to use it..
baseline is only needed if im changing roms from one to another not from stock (so i can go straight from stock to rom)
so anyways...i see the methods of using the sd cards (internal and external.)i need to put it the update.zip file and a folder named recovery (and its contents?) in the "f" drive (or whatever the sdcard or gtabs drive letter is.
is the "update.zip" file an unzipped file or is it a file inside that i need to take out (unzip something and pull out the file named "update.zip" to put with (not in) recovery folder)in "f" drive)
then do the rebooting ect.
since im going straight from stock should i data wipe? whats the purpose of the data swipe/factory reset?
and for future reference, which backup program/method (why do you need one? what does it back up) works best (non cwm) incase i want to try a different rom or something happens where i need my stuff.
many thanks in advance roebeet!
Clockworkmod should work, and I know many people use t. But I don't recommend it for flashing, especially if the ROM in question has a bootloader update. As of this moment, the risk of using clockworkmod is low because we killed off the 3991 UAT mods. But it might be a risk later, so just keep that in the back of your mind.
update.zip is ZIP file -- it's how stock and modded ROMs are packaged. Many Android ROMs are setup this same way.
Btw, I just called Viewsonic CS and it sounds like they might be delaying their next firmware update. Woot! effect, perhaps?
