I respect all the work you put in to making these tablets the best they can be. If I was a better technical writer I would attempt to write a tutorial for xda about how to install whatever Rom I go with. But I suck, and I don't have the android skills you do, so I should just keep quiet.
In short...I will keeo quiet and Thank You!
I appreciate the reply. I do agree that it can be a mess, but that's because there's no one cleaning it up. I do try to keep my own mod posts as clear and concise as I can.

I've seen people say they just plugged it in and started it up and others saying they are fully charging before turning it on. Is there a preferred method? I'm hoping I don't have to fully charge first as I am anxious to start playing with it when I get home from work!
I would charge it for about an hour first (if you can wait). It depends on how low the original battery was - if it's 0% to start for example, give it some time. If it were 50% or more, then I wouldn't be as concerned.

@roebeet, I got the tablet, and messed around with it a bit before it wanted to do the OTA update. Once it applied the update, all the what looked like unique stuff like the kindle store and angry birds weren't there and the active background didn't work. Then whenever I tried to start any remaining program a black box flashed up and disappeared. I couldn't read the whole thing but I could see process and force close, even after a couple restarts.
Luckily I was able to get it to flash to your TNT LITE and get it working, but I wouldn't mind going back to what came from it from Woot for a little while to see what that was like.
Is this something that's been covered on XDA before and my search-fu is weak, or did I miss something? I know I have a tendency to bork electronics, but I'm at a loss as to what I did this time. Thanks in advance.
This is an excellent point - they've customized the device outside of Viewsonic's stock ROM, somehow. Apps like Kindle and Flash are NOT in the stock ROM, and after you do a factory reset, they are gone.
I honestly don't know if there's a "Woot stock ROM" to go back to a Woot-baseline, as I don't have one of these. We won't know how their distributor customized this. Ideally, you'd have a user apks on your sdcard to sideload, but no idea.
Anyone in staff want to chime in? If a Woot user does a factory reset and loses Flash, what's the "best" way to get it back? Is there a process that distributor has created?
Btw, if there's not, ROMs like TNT Lite and VEGAn have Flash pre-installed, and the Google Market does the rest.
