But how long will it take to clean my entire jet? Are we talking touchless wash, or hand-detailed?

Excellent razor, my boyfriend uses it and loves how smooth it is on on his sensitive, dry skin.

Weird - Just bought a new razor 3 days ago.

I have liked Norelco brand, but switched to Panasonic for quite a bit less.

How does this differ from Philips' 2D offering? What makes this "3D", other than shameless use of advertising "Buzz words", of course.

I really need something to shave with daily... nothing works. Tried laser... didn't complete the 3 sessions, so it grew back.

Anyone know how good this thing would do on the throat area? Would it miss one or two day growth like my electric foil razor and all disposables like Mach3's etc?

Interesting. I see Norelco has finally gotten over themselves and put Lithium batteries in a shaver. They've been using NiCd for so long, all their shavers basically had a preset life.

This model is basically a rebranding of the poorly named Arcitec. The best that I can say for this is that it shaves slightly better than the other Norelco shavers I have owned over the years. But the trimmer is absolutely useless.

If you want one of these, perhaps you should find a Bed Bath and Beyond 20% coupon in your Sunday newspaper and buy it locally. That way, you have an easy way to return it if you aren't pleased with the results.

If you use it correctly and shave long enough, it works. I've never liked foil electrics, but Norelco's lift-n-cut works. You do have to go over each area more than once, the 30 second commercials about electric shavers where they show them cutting as fast as a blade are crap. But they do cut close, just not fast.

Only problem is the ingrown hairs that occasionally result.

Bad move there woot, i would advise bundling a beard with future razors to make them accessible to all age groups/genders.

What happen to the good ole days of using disposable razors? I still use them along with a 20 dollar trimmer. I bet I get the same results and im not out 150

I don't know about their marketing, but they did upgrade a few years ago from blade units that tilted on a single axis to ones that tilt in any direction. That actually does sound like 2D vs 3D.

Doesn't really change the way they work, and the 3D blades tend to get stuck in the shaver more easily, needing to be reseated. At least, in my much cheaper model.

I'm a manual shaver, all my life, and I'm looking for an electric shaver that won't give me the razor burn on the neck. Anybody with sensitive skin have any experience with this model?

Got a nasty-tough beard. Nothing goes through it like a Braun. They're the chainsaw of electric shavers - and still pretty easy on the face. Wife bought me an Arcitec for Xmas last year...I'm already back to the Braun.

got this in december. thing is, the first few weeks can be painful and irritating to the skin, but if you shave daily your skin gets used to it. it ends up taking less than a minute for a very close, complete, dry shave in the AM.

if i wait a few days before trimming up then i'll use a shave gel with it (otherwise it will be a painful dry shave), it just takes longer.

also the charge lasts as long as any vacation might, mine has more than enough juice for a month between recharging.

expensive, but if you got the loot i think its the most efficient shave you can buy. besides, you'll use it every day.

Except this lasts for several years. Add up the cost over 5 years for disposables and related accessories like shaving cream and aftershave and $150 sounds pretty decent.
