Aww man, I hope my Big o' Cosmos arrives on the 19th for mah birthday ^_^

I am seriously Pissed Offed about not ready for prime time software way this Big o' Cosmos was handled.

After pulling up the site multiple times in three different browsers last night, THE CRAPSHOOT LINK DID NOT APPEAR, It was not until this afternoon that it showed onscreen, and yes I was logged in.

It's kind of hard to play in the casino with no door. And enough with "its an April fools gag, get over it" rhetoric, if it happened to you, you be pissed off too

How is it possible that Utah has more wooters than California?

I got my 3 bags, but all I really want are the bags. If there aren't REALLY paper bags with question marks on them, I'll probably be more disappointed in that than in what is or isn't contained in the bags!

It was frustrating last night...went to bed after trying for about an hour....but I scored a level 9 this morning.... happily waiting in anticipation for my Big o' Cosmos

This crapshoot game is bull! For the first time in a year, I saw a "bag O' crap" for sale. I really wanted a bag o' crap, and am ABSOLUTELY THE WORST VIDEO GAME PLAYER--EVER! Why in the world would I have to play this crapshoot GAME to get a bag o'CRAP ? I couldn't even get past level 2 to get a bag o' crap.

THIS IS JUST CRAP.

I'm just sayin'....why can't I just buy a bag O' crap, if I am online when the crap sale starts. I am nearly always near my phone at 10pst to see what woot has to offer.

i think this approach to the awarding of the B-O-Cs was a nice spin and that's coming from someone who didn't manage to snag one.

maybe this has already been stated but i'm wondering if each level's Big o' Cosmos will have increasingly better stuff.

Obviously, this didn't work out as Woot planned. In fact it was a pretty big FUBAR. I don't think Woot wanted people to be able to bypass the game, or snag multiple craps. And they shirley didn't want the whole kaboodle to crash for several hours.

But I still applaud them for trying something different. It's about the crap, but it's also about the FUN!

Are all levels of BOCs equal?
Or are people who got to level 10 going to get better crap that people who got it at level 5?

i have lost at Big o' Cosmos before, the servers are always shaky for them. i absolutely don't agree with you. woot is a fun place, and all you whiners are a drag!!

Bear in mind at any level it is a Big o' Cosmos. But I have to think they will be the same, having said that, I also have no idea... ;-)

Unfortunately, they used a netbook as their server.

I got mine after a while, when I started playing it was only a level 4 Big Orphaned Cetacea... Buy the time I won it was a level 6. Which I BARELY finished... but I got one all the same. I don't even remember what time I finished, I know I started at about 0045 or so, and then fought the servers for a couple of hours (it felt like)... then I was finally able to get started and I played for... ... well, several hours (it's all a little fuzzy because I was tired). But, in the end I finally got a Big o' Cosmos that's not going to be worth the effort. At least it'll give me something to tell the grandkids about in 40 years.

Not so, it is often impossible to win. The obstacles are generated randomly, and thus occasionally overlap. It's not how well you play, rather how many times it takes you to play and be lucky enough that the random obstacle generator let's you through.

It was all a clever ploy by woot to separate the hardcore wooters from casual wooters.

Only the craziest wooters would stay up well past 3AM to play a game to win the opportunity to pay woot to let them dump their warehouse sweepings onto you.

i was lucky enough to get mine on level 3, didn't have to worry about some "code" or "link". luckily i have a device that supports f-l-a-s-h. sorry iphone users ;)

The woot gods deem who is worthy to possess the coveted crap. Who are you to question their omniscience? Blasphemer! If you didn't get a crap, then there must have been a reason for it. It must suit the woot gods' grand plan. The woot gods have a purpose for all of us. Some crap bearers are blighted with the curse of true crap and long for their $8 back. Consider yourself lucky you won't have to suffer that fate.

Easiest Big o' Cosmos ever. The server crashed until around 3:30am, and once everyone went to bed, I was able to try as many times as needed, and got mine on level 3.Yeah it was infuriating beating level 2 20 times, and not having the link to buy the Big o' Cosmos, but woot got it fixed, and when the server slowed down, those who didn't have anywhere to be in the morning scored.

Am the only one who thought this was rather funny? I didn't get a B_O_C either, oh well. At least I thought I had a chance, rather than having it almost always appear on my ride home from work.

Yes... but you still have to hit the servers to download it. So this costs them increased page accesses AND bandwidth. Brilliant move Woot engineers, they are paying you entirely too much.

It was a bummer when the servers sucked last night. Beat level 4 when it was on level 2/3 but it wouldn't progress to the next page, so no Bundle of Carrots. I woke up early to play before the level count got too high, but had to abandon because I still need good grades!

This is meant for all the people here.

I realize I have been venomous in many of my posts in this thread. In some cases I have been vicious.

The only people I meant to attack are the people from Woot.com who were part of what I felt was wrong and the members here who, for whatever reason, felt that people such as myself did not have a right to complain.

I have no problem if you felt what Woot did was alright and you expressed your feelings. I do have a problem with those who felt it was alright to express what they felt but anyone who disagreed with them were called names such as whiners and told they shouldn't be on Woot.

What those people were saying is they are automatically right and the people who disagree with them should shut up and go away.

The bottom line for me is I will respect your feelings as long as you respect mine. I will not attack you for your feelings on the subject matter at hand as long as you don't attack me or my feelings. If you choose to attack me I will respond in kind.

If you disagree with me say it. Say why you disagree. Hell, your reasons on feeling the way you do might cause me, or someone else to rethink our position.

Please remember, just because you, or I, believe something, it does not automatically make it fact.

Completely amazed at how angry people are. I have been coming to woot for 6+ years. This is the first time I have ever come close to getting a Big o' Cosmos. Then again, I'm sure the people that are complaining also don't know/remember the hoops people had to jump through on other April Fools Big o' Cosmos's. Getting a Big o' Cosmos has always been a battle, one that wasn't necesarily fair for people on slow connections, on a midnight shift, or simply unable to click a mouse button quickly, but thats part of the fun of actually getting a Big o' Cosmos, the hunt. Getting upset or angry at Woot simply means you don't understand Woot culture and don't really deserve a Big o' Cosmos, end of story.

Then again, people saying that this game sucks most likely didn't have to live through the Atari 2600 era.

Has anyone noticed, back in the day before Woot was bought out everyone would be waiting for 12:00 to hit cause they had such good items that they would sell out fast. Now 90% of the time i can go on the next day in the afternoon and still see the item. Lets not even get started with Woot Offs! Ever since Woot was sold to Amazon its become such crap. Its like Amazons place to unload all their garbage.

Got my first ever bag o goodies! It wasn't hard! It only took me 2 tries and the 2nd time I made it to level 6!
