This woot off isn't over, but it's highly unlikely you'll see a bee of see tonight. Woot generally launches those around 5pm when the whole world is awake; makes it harder for everyone to get one.

As luck (and a serious Woot problem) would have it, I own both a giant Woot monkey and a Rival Vacuum Sealer. To answer your question, that monkey ain't goin' down without a lot of very unhealthy and painful squishing. The bags are sorta small compared to the monkey. But then, the vacuum was going to squish him anyway. Happy giant monkey sealing. Hold your breath, Monte!

My sister, her 3 kids (ages 10, 7 and 4) and my parents drove out to Annapolis from Michigan for Thanksgiving. The kids found my box of Woot monkeys while they were here. Gave each kid 2 monkeys before they left, but told them that they had to keep it a secret until they were on the road.

Apparently it was a fun 9 hour drive back.

I agree the co-worker shouldn't have stolen it, but I would have demanded the co-worker find the same one on ebay and buy it to replace it before I would ask them to send it back. I hate the idea of taking a toy out of a kids hands because their parents are asses. Kids shouldn't suffer because their parents have no morals.

Last Bandolier o` Carrots I missed was in January at about 9 PM CST. It came up as I was walking from the tour bus to the Sound check. I swear, I felt the hammer of loss hit me right as I walked in the Arena Door. Couldn't pull the site up on my iPhone fast enough to get it though.

I got that too but according to Fedex, it hasn't been picked up from Woot. It just says the information was received. Not the package. I'm hoping it weighs more then 1 pound. I am not sure if that's the default weight until they weigh it, or it is actually one pound. We'll see.

I can imagine. Before opening any future packages from your beloved sister or parents, I'd have them checked over by monkey-sniffing K9 units. You will get those things back, you know.

pegreenb wrote:So A Little Woot Monkey Story:

I bought one a way back when, in '07. I put it on my desk at work. One day I come to work and it's gone! What someone has stolen my woot monkey!!? I ask around and it ends up a co-worker thought -- well I don't know what he was thinking -- Anyway he took it, liked it SOO Much he, packed it up and sent it to his Wife and Kids living in the Philippines!! So I ask him We, the Hitchhikers and he calls his wife, and she pulls it out of the arms of her daughter and sends it back. So now I have a Woot Monkey proudly displayed after an extra 2 month journey and 15,000 miles of extra flying...

And it has a little girl's tears on it, which must make the $5 toy so much more special for you.

I stayed up for this?!?

Awesome! Meets one of my two, either/or, criteria for gifting to my brother's kids: the gift must either be exceedingly loud or comprised of a million, tiny (preferably breakable) pieces. I'm totally giving my youngest nephew monkeys from here on out.
