It runs on 9.5VDC, so, if you have sufficient Maker-fu, you can fairly readily craft a battery pack for it.

Hmmmm, very tempting woot. I'm getting so tired of having to wake up to my iPhone, input my password, and then shut off my alarm. Being able to check current weather, email, and other media feeds at a glance would be nice too.
Also, thanks for providing the new version link, so I may just have to bite on this since I can live without the new updated casing and portable battery.
