Those appear to be bids. I'm sure they won't go for $39.

This is usually the way it goes for me. Just as soon as I purchase my Bose QC 15s and are now 1 full day out of my return window, these come out!

I could have saved a couple hundred bucks. At least.

The principle behind it is called destructive interference: when the high pressure bits of a sound wave meet the low pressure bits of a matching sound wave the two opposite-but-equal pressures cancel each other out to keep the air at ambient pressure (no sound). Both sound waves are destroyed.

That just means it doesn't make any whitenoise to remove outside sounds. Its made to cup your ear and prevent sound from leaking in.

I noticed that too... but in reality you either can't hear the high frequencies and the lows won't come through strong enough to make a difference.

Oh wow, these can handle a whopping 1200 milliwatts of input power! And for only $30!

It means the headphones have a lot of technical specifications and cost $30. I got 2 of them. They must be good with all those milli-thingies.

Maybe you got lucky! That is almost exactly the same weight as the 32" LCD TV (26.0 lbs) that I ordered from sellout.woot and shipped out the same day. ha!

Oh man, don't even pay attention to the weights. If it's something that happens to a TON of people, it's nice for us to know so FedEx doesn't over charge, but rarely will odd weights like this end up being something else.

But then, I guess if someone ordered headphones and got a TV they won't want to write in to tell us.

Just plucked mine out of the mailbox. Fedex still says "In Transit"...

Anyway, they're pretty comfortable and the only gripe I have is no foam across the top to cushion between head and plastic...But I knew that before I bought them.

In my opinion the sound quality is nice, however I'm far from an audiophile...

The headphones look awesome, I got the black.

Very pleased with this purchase, and if I could go back I'd buy two at this price.

Received mine today. The black steel on the sides looks nice.

So far they sound very muddy. The highs are non-existent, and it sounds like I'm listening in a very small room. With no windows.

Let your new cans burn in before you make your final acoustic assessment. I usually hear a difference after only 8hrs of playing music thru at medium volume (slightly higher than my comfortable listening level). Many others suggest that more than 100 hours are required to completely burn in your new headphones.

Welcome to SmartPost.

That's the definition of SmartPost as indicated by this icon on the sales page:

Basically, FedEx get's the package close and then hands it off to your post office.

There's a link in my signature that explains SmartPost or here's the FedEx page.

Got mine yesterday.

I'm no audiophile nor have I ever owned a pair of quality headphones before, but these seem to be quite good. The "sound isolation" is great.. I couldn't even hear my vacuum which was right below me when using these. Listening to music with these as I type this and can't hear the mouse clicking or the keyboard tapping. If someone broke into my house right now I wouldn't even hear them come in.. nor would I hear my screams as they stab me.

They fit my ears just fine. They don't completely envelope them, but they are covered and not uncomfortable at all. Not sure how they'll fare in hot weather because it's still cold here in Seattle.

The sound from the headphones themselves is quite excellent. No complaints, but again I'm not too familiar with different types of headphones. Beats the earbuds that came with my Sansa Clip+ any day. Not sure I'd wear them as I walk around to places as they'd be difficult to store away, but I imagine they'd be perfect for plane rides.

Very happy with the purchase, would buy again.

Finally got these and tried them out... Not good. Unless you want your headphones to add the old fashioned hiss of listening to vinyl on a cheap stereo.

I got mine the other day and the left earphone doesn't work. I called up Pioneer and they said Woot isn't an authorized re-seller so they aren't covered by the warranty. Now what do I do?

Woot is owned by (part of) Amazon.com, and I'm certain THEY are an authorized reseller, so right there, you should be covered. However, if that doesn't work, contact Woot, and I'm certain they will help you out.

EDIT: You aren't the only one to have this problem. See this post from the recent Woot-Off (where I also bought a pair of these.)

Any luck with this? My left side gets a fuzzy static noise whenever there is a low bass.

I bought these back when they were Wooted, so I've been using them for about a two and a half months. I think I've got a pretty good idea on the quality of these 'phones.

Dammed fine pair of $30 cans! I could do bleeding-edge bargain hunting and get a better pair, *maybe* for slightly cheaper, but these were worth it.

Somewhat muddy, but there's still a lot of crispy clarity, if you listen for it. The spongy-cushy earcups are comfortable enough for marathon sessions. The muddyness comes from the "Passive Noise Cancellation" (sticking your fingers in your ears is all you need to know about "PNC").

If you're used to listening to earbuds at your desk, PLEASE STOP. You're only hurting yourself. A mid-end set of cans like these might change your music-listening-life. Keep an eye out for future deals, and then take the chance.

If you're a hardcore audiophile, why have you read what I wrote to the end here? You made me go through all this extra effort for nothing, you jerk.

I'm not a hardcore audiophile (not even close), and I appreciate your thoughts after the purchase. I mainly use mine at my desk for gaming primarily, and music as well.
