This afternoon I received this lovely e-mail from woot customer service: "Hello, Wooting laptopper. You recently ordered the Samsung 14" Core i5 Aluminum Laptop with WiMax, WiDi, HD LED Display and Edge-to-Edge Glass from us. Just to refresh your memory, this is the original sales page: ........"continued "Unfortunately, we oversold that laptop by a few units and will not be able to fulfill your order. However! We do want to offer you a very very similar substitution- you can see that sales page complete with specs here:............"
Now wait just a minuite here! This item should have long been shipped and in my custody by now. Woot did not hesitate to charge my cc back on the 6th. In another issue I had been having a lot of problems with the general attitude of woot cs lately ... like them not bothering to read my e-mails when there is a problem which they are having providing me service and basically telling me to solve the problem myself....... but, lets get back to the point.
Judging from others with unhappy experience with this purchase, perhaps this un-timely e-mail is a blessing in disguise. I, therefore, void this sale, and since I really do need a new laptop, have purchased one with similar/better specs elsewhere with immediate customer service. In the end a better deal.
BTW If I only thought woot CS would actually read and respond to the issues in my e-mail, I would not hesitate to discuss this issue with them first. I am just too frustrated now.
