I called Sanyo today. Basically the only answer they had was the source of water possibly, or, a defective sensor. So the troubleshooting steps are first make sure you are using tap water, preferably non-treated. Don't use filtered water, or water heavy with softeners, etc. Certainly none with reverse osmosis or distilled water.

I am going to try one or two other sources of tap water since this house is so old and then give up.

If the light still keeps coming on, it is either handled via Woot, or sent back to Sanyo (pay for shipping, your own packaging...). Sanyo seems to think it should be Woot. Hope that helps......

Not going to lie. I set this thing up, tested the water and it has a small percent of chlorine, which is optimal.

I set the sensor to high sensitivitiy.

As I was reading the instructions, I farted a real good one. The light went from a quiet song, with a green lit led to a louder wooshing, red led, and water mist spraying from the machine.

I knew I found my true love.

Bought this a month ago, my room smells great. Had problems with smells due to myself, outdoor pollens, allergies, etc. I love this thing and I'm glad I bought it.

It sure beats my $400 ionic honeywell machine that did absolutely nothing except act as a really tall and heavy paper weight.
