I add my voice to the chorus of people that have pointed out the clearly flawed nature of the poll due to it's lack of inclusion of The Legend of Zelda.

Of course Mario is going to win when he doesn't have to worry about having the Master Sword wielding hero of time to deal with.

Why am I the first to mention Mass Effect?

Revenue wise I def think Halo is the best game. Halo 1 was a complete HIT!

I do agree Super Mario appealed to a wider range of people, but come on Halo is by far the best game!

Im a huge fan of Call of Duty, Super Mario, Resident Evil, & Sonic but stats wise nothing compared to Halo!

Halo is awesome, but come on, anyone that ever grew up with the Nintendo 64 the best game of all time has to be Super Mario 64.

Legend of Zelda, hands down!

Othello! Oh wait, I guess I missed the poll from yesterday -- and I definitely don't want anyone thinking I consider any form of Reversi the greatest video game franchise.

But I would think that a company who uses an exclamation point so prominently in its logo would have put Metal Gear on the poll. Mario and Zelda ruled my childhood, EA Sports took over in adolescence, but the adult in me sides with Snake and the gang.

I know it's recent, but I'm going to vote Uncharted.

Thinking old school, it's hard to beat Mario in all his incarnations though.

Super Mario 64 was amazing, but I'm be no means a fan of the Super Mario Galaxy games.
