Just FYI -- These shirts would not survive a rugby match. Probably not even in the stands.

Respectable looking shirts at a wicked price? I'm buying two, in the hopes that hubby will no longer need to be seen in public in shrunken Star Wars and Spiderman tshirts or Threadless tees he bought before he.. uh.. "bulked up".

Hey.. a woman can dream can't she?

does it say something about the die hard wooters if all the xxl and xxxl sold out before most people got to work?

Big congrats on the 57 lbs!!! I'm still sitting at a XXXL. ** sigh **

Wanted to buy, but they are out already.

Sitting here crying over the old Woot. Where are you my sweet and loveable Woot? Slowly losing my love of Woot. :-(

$7.99 + $7.99 + $5.00 = $20.98 > $20.00

The main page showed XXL as available, but alas, that isn't true.

I look at Woot as my online 2nd hand store - LOL

In for 2 mediums, my hubby can always use more shirts.

No XXL or XXXL sizes? That eliminates about 75% of the woot customer base (ie, me).

jeez, between making my selection for ONE random-5, and finding my credit card, the Mediums disappeared. With the luck I'm having this week, I'll end up with five combinations of light rose and teal, 50% poly, oversized ... dust rags.

Judging solely on the last picture, these look like they wrinkle... is that the case? Because I'm only in if they don't.. why replace short-sleeve dress shirts that breathe with short sleeve "polo-esque" shirts that wrinkle and probably don't breathe?

Why no tall sizes? Are you trying to imply only short posers wear sports shirts, while tall people actually play sports? I'm a tall person, and I take offense to that- I hate playing sports, and would much prefer to sit on my couch surfing the net in a comfortable shirt.

TALL please.

Charlie Sheen's "Two and a Half Men" character has had an impact on shirt styles....UGH. These are like the type of shirts retired Floridians wear when going out to get their 4pm All You Can Eat buffet dinner deals. Thanks, writers of "Two and a Half Men"!

I would have bought these if the "real people" sizes weren't already sold out at 8am. I guess when I rolled over at 4 in the morning, and realized I went to bed before Woot updated, I should have followed up on my impulse and gotten out of bed to load the website. Oh, well.

I own five of these shirts - I recognize the label and checkerboard sleeve/collar trim on the blue one.

I bought them on clearance about 4 years ago for about $4 each and wear them on weekends for working around the house, trips to the grocery/hardware/you name it store. They are thicker/heavier material than the price would leave you to believe. The sizes are also not too skimpy - I'm a big guy and can tell you the X XX XXX sizes are not skimpy at all.

They are very comfortable and in spite of weekly washing, these have held up very well. While they may have faded a bit over the years (and who hasn't?) they have kept their shape well and the seams are still tight.

I am in for 10 or 15!

I just hope they aren't all the checkered ones...

(EDIT): DOH! Sold out of the big 'uns! Well, all you junior petites that can still buy 'em do it now - you won't regret it!

Sugar 'em up and send 'em home

My fiancee has recently turned me on to the wisdom of buying expensive clothes, and now I look all nice on a continual basis; I needed to fill my wardrobe with some more ugly crap. Alas, Woot no longer has shirts that are my size. It has saved me from my impulsive desire for a good deal.

Personally, I think this offer fits right into the Woot ethos. I mean, what's more nerdy than ugly polo shirts? If you looked through the closets of the people who shop on this site, I would would expect you'd probably see many cheap "sports shirts" (along with other monstrous clothes items that were obtained at an extremely cheap price from Wal-mart or a similar high-class fashion boutique). I currently have a light blue monstrosity that probably needs to be thrown in the trash. One time, I remember buying a bunch of ugly t-shirts at K-mart because they were on clearance for less than a buck.

So I say: bring it on! Yeah for cheap crappy clothes!
