Steve Allen, Jack Paar, or the really big boy on the block, Ed Sullivan. Art Linkletter, Arthur Godfrey, It's time for a nap now
Can't think of a single one worth 10 minutes of my time. How about.... Nobody. Daytime TV sucks!
... Y'all are on something cause Ellen is the best!
Johnny Carson, hands down!
I know I'm showing my age, but Merv Griffin was the best and will live in infamy!
Merv Griffin is great, but what about Dina Shore and OMGOMGOMGPONIESOMG PWNIES Cavett? They were the best.
Ellen's just about the only daytime talk show host I've been able to watch more than once, so I'll go with her. (I suspect I would've liked Dіck Cavett if I hadn't been more involved with school and work back then.) BTW, folks, daytime means the sun is out in your part of the world. That means no Steve, Jack, Johnny, Tom Snyder, Arsenio, Conan, etc. (well, unless you time-shifted them).
regentswift wrote:Seriously? No Arsenio?
It says "DAYTIME Talk Show Host". Arsenio was night time, as was Tom Snyder. And Carson, and Conan. And since it specifies TV, we might want to leave Rush Limbaugh off the list as well. I think that my vote is probably for Mike Douglass.
Toni Tennille! (she could talk & boy could she sing!)
Others have said that daytime TV rots your brain. I have to agree unless you have on demand movies.
Doesnt anyone remember Mike Douglas?
JOHNNY CARSON hands down
Wendy Williams.

+1 for Sally Jesse!
Sally Jessie Rafael was the best. Fair, not afraid of any topic and very informative!
ELLEN, FOO!
Howard Stern!
where's the love for ricki lake? she and jenny jones need to co-host a new show that would be sort of a cross between jerry springer and bill maher, with more than a little tom snyder. then the world would be at least 5% closer to being perfect.
Mike Douglas or Morton Downey, Jr.
Sad as A Monkey On A Rock! David Letterman. Sure...the daytime moles who endure sunlight didn't "get" Dave EYE DID!! So on it goes...Only at Nigh Time..The Right Time
Heeeeere's Johnny! Johnny Carson.
curtisuxor wrote:Seriously? You left out Ellen?
Agreed! Ellen should be listed!
ELLEN!!!!! duuuuhhh..... :P
I'm surprised they left Ellen Degeneres off! Her talkshow is the only one that I can actually watch from start to finish. -English Mastiff Owner
Tom Snyder
HELLO!!!! TYRA BANKS !!!!!

No, he was a night time host. My mistake. It is people like me who give the USA a reputation of sub par reading comprehension! You're welcome. I can't read or write too well, but, man, my math is awesome!
Fred Rogers. He was my f-r-i-e-n-d, special!
