Same here, and no updates from FedEx. They have not even scanned in the pickup yet.

Same for me - and I work for Woot...

It finally shipped. It's coming in from Yuma,AZ and is expected to arrive on the 24th.

The sucky part is that my PS3 is gettign sent in for repair so it probably won't have a proper christening.

Oh well...

Got mine today. Doesn't work with my cell phone's HDMI output. It just says "check cable." The cable works from phone to TV, just not this monitor. Any suggestions?

What's the deal with warranty and/or returns?

I just set mine up today and it's blurred around the edges. It's really strange. At the dead center of the screen it's perfectly clear. As you look toward the edges it gets more and more out of phase. I can' barely read the icons at the edges of the screen.

I've played around a bit, but I can't seem to get it to display properly.

Any ideas about how to fix this? Do I just need a replacement?

lovelearn wrote:Bought 3 of these last month on Woot's special. Used only as computer monitors, they seem excellent. I REALLY like the lower than usual power consumption and resulting low heat rejection into small rooms. But coaxing their HDMI input into working seems like an as-yet unpredictable puzzle. Given 10-15 minutes of playing with the buttons, requesting that it switch to HDMI, I have always been able to get it to work. But as I said, triggering HDMI into action has been a puzzle. Downloaded the manual and followed those instructions. If anyone knows how to trick these into quickly accepting HDMI input, please post the technique so others can see if that works on their monitors. Windows recognizes it at the expected HP model. Very bright and clear, but the HDMI is very frustrating for us.

I had this problem too. I fixed it by setting the HDMI in the default selection and selecting the save and return option before selecting the HDMI. Selecting the HDMI first takes you into connection with the computer and to another screen and does not allow the selection to be saved. Unfortunately I received a monitor with 2 perpindicular lines about 3/4" in the middle of the display. I am contacting woot to get a replacement display

mine arrived today -- no manual. power light lights on the back of the monitor but nothing happens on front when connected via VGA to laptop. will try with HDMI to see if that helps. no manual, no dc included.

I decided to test it with something other than my computer so I connected it via HDMI to my bluray player. It seemed to work great. When I plugged it back into my computer (VGA) it worked fine.

I had installed the official HP drivers (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=vc-89503-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=5076897&sw_lang=) which didn't seem to work, but maybe I just had to disconnect it and reconnect it for the drivers to load correctly.

I received my display and really like it. But there are 2 small vertical lines in the middle are of the screen a violet and scarlet color. They seem to be growing. How do I fix this or get a replacement.

The display ships with the default set to the vga cable. I had to play with the buttons on the bottom of the display to bring up a menu. I then selected the default setup and I selected the HDMI in the default setup. I pressed the save button(far right) and then selected the save and return selection and pressed the save button (far right). If you select the HDMI it will access using the HDMI cable but will not be saved. You will not be able to access the save feature once you are connected.

Just got mine this afternoon and so far I am not impressed already have an email in to get a replacement but we'll see how that goes. There is a 3 by 3 inch splotch of lines and discoloration in the middle of the screen and no matter what tricks I try I can't get the hdmi to respond.

same here. Just got it. Picture is good, but in the lower left corner, about 3-inches from the edge is what looks like a paint ball splat about the size of a half-dollar. What a shame. no manual, no cable other than plain old vanilla VGA. What's up WOOT. You used to be a class act.

Does anybody have a manufacturer website? In following Woot's FAQ, they recommend dealing directly w/ the manufacturer first. However, not sure where to go from here. Bought 2 & FedEx just dropped them off at my house today. No manual, no paperwork, no invoice, no packing slip, nothing. Just 2 boxes.

One of the monitors has a busted button (it's the + button underneath) that prevents me from using the menu (sucks when you can only go down). The other monitor isn't getting power. Seriously? 2 defective monitors from the same order?

The only issue I'm having with mine is that every so often it will go black then come back on a couple seconds later. Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks!

This happened with mine too at first with HDMI. The computer recognized it, but nothing would come on the display. Then I tried it later and it wasn't getting power, and the adapter light was flickering. Power light didn't light up, nothing happened.

Here's what I believe to be the driver for this monitor. After I installed the driver I haven't had the black out issue. But maybe it's just a coincidence.

Silly me - and this comes from having no manual. I missed the buttons along the lower right edge and was thinking the switches were touch sensitive areas on the front, like my old Acer. Once I discovered the buttons the monitor is fine. In fact, it's gorgeous.

since this is a "famous maker" and Woot won't post the manufacturer, how do we go to them for help? Woot's FAQ states to go to the vendor for trouble shooting or resolution, but I have no invoice, no receipt, no shipping label, nothing to go to the vendor with, even if I knew who they were. If this is refurbished, they did a terrible job. My monitor has pixelation about the size of a half-dollar. And why should I be responsible for return shipping of a defective product? There are warranties of implied merchantability and Woot is not meeting them.

These "Famous Maker" monitors are, unless something is different this time, debranded Hewlett-Packards. When you get it, you should be able to find the model number on the monitor somewhere, if it has not been listed somewhere in this thread already.

Now, if the damn things would just show up. 5 days to Michigan from AZ, seriously??!

Right, I have that information, which is why I "quoted" the famous maker words. However, does that mean I'm entitled to support from HP? I doubt it, especially with the de-branded logo. I'm just stating the obvious that WOOT shouldn't advocate going to the vendor for all their items.

Apparently, Woot put my company name in the address, so Fedex picked Home Delivery. No one in the office Saturday, so they won't even *attempt* delivery again until tomorrow.

(edit) Apparently I put it there, following the subscript text indicating it was appropriate for company name. Not good enough for Fedex.

Just got mine. Ordered two, one is beautiful; the other one has yet to be successfully detected by my PC and emits a horrible high-pitched whine when turned on. I'm thinking maybe that one needs to be re-refurbed. Anyone figure out who we're supposed to talk to about that?

WOOT 90 day warranty

It is in the item description - and yeah, I missed it too at first.

just received this and plugged it into my win7 64 bit system. it was identified as an hp2311. however, i cannot get the resolution to show 1920x1080. the list for this monitor only goes to 1680x1050. any suggestions?

Finally arrived after spending 4 days in a truck.

Packaging left a lot to be desired: No protection for screen, lots of protection for bezel and stand!? Had to "snap" 2 sides of frame back in place.

Can't download HP's driver; page times out.

I had some issues with this as well... I'm not sure what it is related to (perhaps my graphics card) but I couldn't get the correct resolution using a DVI cable but when I switch to a VGA cable it worked perfectly.

The monitor comes in tomorrow; I'll report my results when I unpack it.

Mine arrived yesterday and I attempted to use it this morning. I am trying to use it as a second display with my laptop. My Windows 7 (64 bit) laptop has worked without problems in this configuration with other monitors and TVs, using VGA and HDMI outputs (one-at-a-time).

This monitor briefly displayed the output from my laptop along with the OSD showing that VGA was connected, then started blanking repeatedly every second or two. I tried making it the primary display and it kept blanking. After a few minutes it stopped displaying anything altogether and it hasn't displayed anything since. The indicator above the power button continuously blinks whenever I have it plugged in and turned on. I have never been able to display the OSD through the menu button so I can't tell how anything is set. I tried turning it off and on, installing the driver, rebooting my laptop, making the monitor the only display, cloned display, using VGA, using HDMI, using a different laptop with Ubuntu, as well as several resolutions and haven't been able to get it working at all.

Obviously I really want this to work, but I'm out of ideas to try and don't have any other computers to try it with.
