15 dollars total including shipping for 3 of these tool sets, who cares if they are cheap? they will get you through basic maintenance work, home projects and some basic automotive. I'm sold. Second order of 3 sets for my son in college with his own apartment.

Broke my woot cherry on these! I joined a few months ago only to find the sets I was gonna buy were sold out. I can't wait to get that first box in the mail to add them to my tool box.

Buyer beware, these tools are barely usable. I bought 3 of these thinking "Man you can never have too many tools" and before even opening the case for the ratcheting screwdriver it fell apart. I put it back together real quick and screwed something, and it fell apart again.
The driver heads are decent enough to keep around and are worth the price though, they're the standard bit-head size so you can use them in anything, and there is a decent variety here so... yeah. Don't expect good tools.

Hmm

This is something I wish WOOT would change even if you need to charge additional shipping.

If all 6 were the same product then I can understand the 3 limit but every time you offer these I wonder why you would offer 6 different items and then only allow us to only by 3 of them. 99% sure if you offered all 6 to be purchased you'd see a lot of people buy them.

I travel to a lot of retail stores doing IT repair and replacement. The stubby screw driver set is very handy and fits nicely in the backpack.

One thing that sets this precision set apart from some of the other cheap Chinese made sets is the fact that the bits lock in nicely in the case. I've dropped it numerous times from 4 feet and all the bits stay in their respective holders.

Yeah, the bits lock nicely in the case, but not in the driver. One set I bought, the bits are slightly too long for the holder and don't stay in. this makes it useless.

For very occasional use around the house these should be fine. If your work is more demanding though these tools will not last, unfortunately sometimes you get what you pay for.

Are the tips magnetic on this set?

Actually, are the tips magnetic for any/all of these sets? I'm really tempted, but it's not worth it to me if they aren't magnetic tips.

I bought these a few days before my girlfriend broke her camera, which, obviously, uses a P00 screw, which I told her I didn't have. Then she found these in the mail, so I had to "repair" her camera. THANKS W00T. I want my 5 hours back.

My 22pc w/ extension is magnetic, but I can't say for sure if it came that way, or it got some induced magnetism from being around a fairly strong magnet. The magnetism isn't strong, but it worked perfectly for me.

My ratcheting T-Driver is also slightly magnetized (again, it was next to a strong magnet)

The Skil 22-Piece Precision Screwdriver Set with Extension seems cheaply made. I got one a month ago from Woot! and it doesn't seem like it will last as long as the Ace set I have from years ago. The other Skil tools I got were good though.

I picked up the precision w/extension set last time around and have had no issues with it. It replaced a $12 RadioShack set whose handle actually sheared apart (shoddy construction or what?) while I was disassembling a laptop. Ugh. I've had no issues with these while playing with computers and assembling cheap furniture, though. Good stuff.

For the average homeowner this is a great set to have around. You would certainly not use them on any significant car repair. The steel strength is just slightly stronger than plastic. I've broken dozens sockets of this quality, but still worth having around for small tasks.

Vizio 32” 720p LCD HDTV (2 of them), Seagate 750GB SATA/300 7200RPM Hard Drive, SiliconDust HDHomeRun Dual Digital HDTV Tuner, Kodak Theater HD Player, Acer Aspire One 10.1” Netbook, Philips Prestigo 8-Device Universal Remote, Asus Eee PC 900 Netbook with 1.6GHz Atom Processor, Philips Upconverting DVD Player with DivX and HDMI, Ashley Rock Axe Full Size Rockband and Guitar Hero Controller for PS2 and PS3, Philips Icon 5 Device Universal Remote, and a bunch of other carp.

I am confused. Do you get all 6 as pictured in the photos along with all bits? The slogan says 6 enters, and 1 leaves. What the heck does that mean?

I was skeptical about these last time, but got a few anyway. Just keep your expectations in line and you'll be fine.

They're perfectly serviceable for light, random tasks. You're not going to rebuild any engines or make any Swiss watches with these, but they're 3 bucks, so plan accordingly.

(Get 3 to offset the shipping).

The Metric sockets come in crazy handy when doing any work on an import car. I've used them on VWs and BMWs.

The metric sizes are very close to American fractional sizes. The even numbered sizes are basically fractional and the odd numbers are between the fractional sizes. The bottom line: they fit everything.

I bought the 20-pc socket set a few weeks ago. Save your money. It comes with bits to use as a screwdriver, they work fine. It also comes with sockets and none of them work because they don't fit onto the ratcheting wrench in the set. I can't get them to fit, I let 5 friends try and none of them could get it to work either. I bought two of those and even at $2.99 they were not worth it.

We were pleased with the T-handle screwdriver!

A few days ago - or whenever that last Skilwoot was - I got the 6, 22, and 28. They have performed flawlessly as things to get in the way on top of the stove!

I haven't taken the individual tools out of the storage cases yet, so I can't comment on how well they handle that chore.

In for the 10, 20, and 21.

I agree with several previous posters regarding the 1/4" ratchet. Stay away.

The T-handle and Mini-T Handles, however are more than worth the $. Very handy, good power for light/moderate torque. Would not get really really enthusiastic with them, but if you need that kind of torque, you aren't using these sets anyway.

DrAzzy

Argh, more of these miserable quality screwdrivers. This wouldn't be a good buy if you got all 6 sets for $3+5 shipping=8.

The removable-bit ones are very unpleasant to work with (bit doesn't stay in well), and can't get into the recessed holes that are ubiquitous on electronic devices. They're also all in bizzaro form factors... You want a classic screwdriver? No can do, just a "stubby" one, or some awkward T-handle ones. Oh, and the ratchets in these are really easy to strip.

The precision screwdriver set (the 6 piece one, not the 22-bit one) would be interesting, if it weren't for the shipping, but you can get them for less than price+shipping at brick+mortar stores.

All of these tools are incredibly flimsy, and will fail if you try to put much torque on them.

I bought the 1/4" ratchet set a while back and finally got a chance to use it this past weekend when I was taking my truck canopy off.

The ratcheting mechanism broke on my 3rd turn of the handle...
