Bought this 2 woot-offs ago. I absolutely love it! The attachments are great. Its sucking power is great! And mine was like new!

Complaints I have heard are that it fills up fast(doesn't that just mean its working really good?) and that it is heavy(you need the workout anyway fatty)

This vacuum cleans better, has more(and easy to clean!) filters and seems more durable than any vacuum I have had before.

I have a dog whose favorite past-time is shedding. This vacuum does an excellent job of pulling the hair out of my deep carpet, couch and hard wood floors.

Bought this vac as a refurb from WOOT a couple months ago - vac appeared to be brand new. Works fantastically - this vac sucks up all dog / cat hair. And, there is an inch or two of dust in the bottom of the canister - something my old vacs never did. A little loud, a little heavy, but otherwise an excellent vacuum cleaner.

We bought this Woot when it was $299 (still an awesome deal). This is our second Dyson - the old one went upstairs so my wife did not have to lug the vac up and down the stairs. This vac is worth its weight in gold. You will not be disappointed - Refurb or not.

Love this vacuum. The bagless system is the best. One button dumps everything into the trash. No muss, no fuss.

A bought a refurbished dyson ball (the yellow one) about 3 months ago. It arrived looking brand new and outperforms any vacuum I've ever had before. Works well on pet hair! No more tape roller on the sofa for me!

They have an attachment for that, actually.

or should I say...
There's an "att" for that.

I purchased a refurb unit for my wife a few months ago. She absolutely loves it. We use it to clean our bedroom which was full of hair from two cats and two people. The brushes held up and it's very easy to empty.
I would highly recommend it.

Bought this Dyson (have two dogs) the last time it ran a few weeks ago.. I've always wanted a Dyson.. any Dyson...!!! Mine was also refurbished.. and it's GREAT! I have tile floors and area rugs.. just had to learn the right settings for the area rugs but this thing works fantastic.. and part of my area rugs go under our couches.. the attachment that comes with the Dyson goes under the couch.. hence.. I don't have to try to move a "L" shape couch some day to vacuum under it..
This thing is amazing.. I notice a post where someone said they bought a vacuum a year before their Dyson.. well, I have too.. I will admit I am a vacuum-a-holic.. but this thing just takes the cake.. it's a little big.. a little bulky but once you get the feel of it.. you'll never go back to a regular vac.. Get it while it's here.. This is a GREAT price!!!

Been trying to get my wife on-board with this vacuum for a year. She is a lethal combo of OCC and frugality, so she likes vacuuming constantly but insists on cheapo crappo vacuums. Doesn't help that we have a Shetland Sheepdog that is constantly shedding. She has refused to spend more than $50 on a vacuum, even if it means buying a new one every year.

I've sent her Consumer Reports reviews, online ratings, etc....no dice.

This morning before my wife left for work, I mentioned there was a Woot Off. She said, "Do you think they'll have the Dyson vacuum again?" and I said "yeah, probably...they had it in the last two woot offs, and they've had it two other regular woots, so probably."

She said "if you see it, buy it. I'm sick of crappy vacuums and dog hair in the carpet"

And now I will be the hero of this story. Thanks woot!

I have one of these vacuums - it does great in my house with two very hairy cats. Two small complaints: there's nowhere integrated to put some of the attachment, and it pulls up flimsy floor rugs really easily. Those might be general vacuum kvetches, though.

All work great; All were very clean, almost like new-in box. No evidence they were 'used' by other people aside from a scratch or two.

...and all 3 really suck.

What are your thoughts on the DC25 vs the DC28?

FedEx also doesn't lose suction. I never fail to have a problem when they are the courier UPS occasionally disappoints, as well as US Postal, but you can really set your atomic clock off of FedEx.

The tracking says they "attempted" delivery on Saturday (which I thought was odd anyway) and the next delivery would be Tuesday. So I called up FedEx to ask why everything was so backwards and they said it was a "FedEx Home Delivery" (even though I have a non-residential address specified..but anyway).

I said "there were people all around on Saturday and no one ever saw a FedEx truck." The lady with FedEx says "oh well yeah, they didn't try to deliver it, they just left it on the truck." Whaa??? So she begins by telling me "yeah, the business was closed" then somehow she says they didn't even try to deliver it? Man, I really don't like FedEx.

I'm just ready for clean carpets. I spent all weekend eating saltines on the couch and pulling my dog's hair out just to test this thing. Now I have to wait one more day to clean this all up. Thanks FedEx, you are the Dyson of couriers....you will always suck.

Got the Dyson today (FedEx Home of course.. ack) and it looks/works like new. Now the carpet selector switches light up.. but is the red power button supposed to light up? I don't know why it would need to, hard not to notice if it's on/off lol

Thanks woot... although we should be able to select home/business delivery.

Finally got the durn vacuum and tried it out. Really like this one, it actually "rejuvenated" our 10+ year old carpets and pulled out a ton of dog hair that the other vacuum apparently never could get to. Nice!

But FedEx still sucks.
