I'd feel better using that excuse, if it'd been a woot-off when I meant to post and if I was even watching it, but I got so mad at my alerter coming on all the time I turned it off again.

Just bring him along! We have two people coming over on Friday to help us harvest the apples. With my back, I can put a chair next to the lower limbs and pick some.

I'll save some apples for ya.

Would love to bring him with however, he has cancer and is dying. Travel isn't an option for him he's on oxygen 24/7. So will have to pass this year. Besides he is freezing in the house at 78*. If you just had snow that definitely wouldn't work for him. He is freezing wearing his flannel pjs. So maybe next year.

((hugs)) I'm going to try sleeping, I haven't successfully done that much thanks to demigods, but I'm 'bout near worthless right now.

We're expecting rain and then snow tomorrow. We're supposed to have five great nephews and nieces over to help us pick apples, but I don't think they'll make it if it does snow.

I would come even if it did snow just to feel a little cold air. I love dad, but he refuses to but on any more clothes. That reminds me I need to go and turn on the heat for him. It's supposed to get "cold" tonight, about 66. I won't tell him it is supposed to get down to 44 overnight next Wednesday, he would freeze just hearing about it. He already asked me if I have the light turned on in the pump house. He was surprised when I said the lows had only been in the mid 60's.

Wish I were there Last Post.

Nah just crank the heat to 79 in the house and put an electric heater in dad's room. The sad thing is next week we are supposed to have highs in the low 80's. I was really hoping summer was over!

Hi Tennis, Hi KtC.

I don't afford the heat. Once dad is gone the house will go down to 70 and I will take back all my warm turtlenecks from dad.

However, since fireplaces mess up my breathing I'll stick with what we have now.

I have worse issues from forced air blowing around dust and drying the air. We live in an area with lots of harvest dust.

Dname you aren't exactly a regular here. Unless you're a lurker. Welcome back lplady and Dname.

KtC I remember the harvesting dust. That is the one good thing about our road being closed - no blowing red dust. We have a lot of red clay and sand, the cars going by would kick up red dust. The front of the house is the cleanest it's been in a long while. I'll still take dust over wood smoke.

Hi LpLady!

The kids sorted out all the candy they don't want to eat at all, it's one mixing bowl worth. The rest is taking up half a large paper grocery bag.
