Same here, man. If I don't get the PC until after Sunday, then this is easily one of my worst online purchase experience ever. It will be the worst if I get it after Sunday and something is wrong with it and have to ship it back. haha

This is my second Woot ever. I don't remember the first one taking this long. Is this the typical service I should expect from Woot? It's been more than 5 business days now and the computer still hasn't shipped. Guess next time I will need to look elsewhere.


edit: we ordered these for new employees who have now started and can't work because these computers are sitting in a Woot warehouse.

I very much appreciate the update, Dennis, but I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Since you first posted this yesterday, do you mean we should have a tracking e-mail by the end of the today (9/8) or do you mean we should have tracking e-mail by the end of the day tomorrow (9/9)?

Hey Woot community, I know you are all frustrated, so i had a few points I wanted to make.

Actually the truth is that Woot drop shipped them. What do i mean? They TECHNICALLY don't have a warehouse full of them, they send the orders to HP Outlets. They just keep the money they make off us. But we can agree that:

1) its past 5 business days
2) on the 5th business day is the FIRST message we get regarding a delay
3) We still do not have a confident outlook on this since they are being drop shipped.
4) This isn't the norm. that online businesses usually run and that is why there is a lot of backlash for this order. I am sure Woot would agree this is an unusual situation.
5) I still think this is a good deal and worth joining Woot for. I would like to think that Woot offers incentives for those customers who have waited 5+ days without a shipment's notification. In order to keep their customers, because this goes against their customer guarantee. And also because they are making thousands off of each order I can assume this would not be difficult to arrange.

Well those are just my thoughts. I hope we are constructively working to make Woot better, but not putting the company down because of this debacle.

not much of an update to be honest, hence being looked over. seeing people who ordered well after, but getting their item well before others would be aggrivating (to myself included, as i have not had mine shipped either as of yet..ordering hours before it sold out). i ordered this as a gift, and am certain now that it will not be here in time (barely a minor annoyance TBH)

selling items you dont actually have is fail retail 101. drop shipping is the only recourse from the above situation.

Same here. My first WOOT from forever ago shipped in like two days. It's been six days now and still nothing. How do I cancel an order?

I'm no fan of waiting this long either, but if you are ordering computers for a business you probably should have gone somewhere else to begin with. Woot typically takes awhile to ship and even then it usually isn't the fastest shipping speed($5 shipping). They say "typically ships withing 5 business days". That gives them an out in case something like this happens.

I did see your post but I am concerned that it referred to getting a shipping email by today and the day is pretty much over. I am sure Woot is well aware of the frustration that its members are feeling and I hope that they can do something to remedy the situation (I honestly don't know what would help at this point). Thanks again for your post and reply and I hope that Woot is able to provide us more frequent updates in the future.

I'm in no big hurry to receive this but it strikes me as bad form that I didn't receive an email apology or any other info other than we should get an email by 9/8. Give me a break woot, and upgrade our shipping or refund us $5.

Okay guys, good news!

I just received a auto-tracking email from Woot. Glad to finally be in THIS Leg of the race to get my pc. Estimated delivery date per FedEx shipping is September 13th. >.>

I received my email at 8:30 on September 8th 2011. I hope most of you also received yours, as I am east coast and probably furthest from Woot HQ? Anyway keep us posted on your status and i'll do the same.

I also received my shipping notice today. If things go as stated, I'll receive the computer 2 fulls weeks from the day I bought it.
While this isn't the way I saw it going down when buying it, I'm not going to complain too much after getting a good deal.

Received my computer yesterday. I didn't receive the the shipping notification email, but I was able to look at my account and was able to see that it had shipped. That being said, this computer was in awesome shape. I am not sure what was wrong (if anything) originally for it to be refurbished. I took it apart to upgrade some of the hardware and there was no sign that it had ever been used. Everything looked brand new. No dust, marks, nothing. The computer was in perfect condition. Very satisfied with my purchase - thanks, Woot!

Got my notice and FedEx tracking number late yesterday as well. Estimated delivery date is Sept. 13, and I'm in the Washington, DC area. So, 2-weeks from order date. Definite fumble, but pretty good recovery on Woot's part, IMHO.

I received this 2 days ago, it was so fast.
But I noticed freeze one time yesterday when it tried to update system.
It says "Do not power off until system update is completed....", it stuck on "1 of 2".
The blue circle was stopped also, so I forced to reboot the PC and it seems okay so far.
This issue is normally happen in other PC too?
Or this PC is defected?

same story here... the label is printed but they wont pick it up from the shipper until later and ill just be staring at a screen that says "shipping information has been sent to fedex" for another 3 days until they do pick it up. Dang this woot order is just getting out of hand, i just hope i get a PC in the box LOL

Got mine last night at 20:34 EDT. I am in the same 5 day limbo and Fedex is saying the same thing, label printed, not yet picked up. SO ANNOYING!
