"This is not an indictment of the quality of your food storage containers Jennifer, it’s a simple request to make room for everyone else in the office’s lunch."

Does everyone else's say their name? Is Woot doing a mass replace where each user reads their own name in the writeup? I can't tell because my name IS Jennifer.

I hate my avatar choices.

18 piece = 9 containers with 9 lids, correct?

I love the clear containers.
That way when those left overs that I was never going

I think these are the ones Cooks Illustrated said were the best of about a dozen brands they tested. The only 'bad' thing they mentioned about them is that they can leak a little at first, but the silicon seal actually got better after several dishwasher washings.

Yes they are good. The rubber seal can come out so you can clean it easier.

The only downside is that you can break the tabs that stick out on the base.

Best thing ever for craft/hobby parts storage. Not too small, like those silly bead and screw organizers; not too large, like bulky tool chests. And not wildly overpriced like the specialty storage at craft stores.

Yup - I never understood that. I guess they want you to think you're getting more or do the whole "Wow! 18 pieces thing!" But, I'm sorry, what good are lids without containers? I kind of assume they're going to come with lids - especially when one of the selling factors is the "air tight" thing.

That set didn't have the two large ones these do or the water bottle.

I can't decide between two or three. Might as well go three, even if I can't figure out where to put them or if I never need this many containers.

lock & lock containers do all they say they'll do--they're airtight, watertight, and useful in myriad ways. i currently use 'em for pantry storage, disaster kit storage, office organization, leftovers (in both the fridge and freezer), and taking treats on the go. and woot's price for this versatile set is fantastic! i'm in for more; you can always find a use for these containers...

so wootchawootchawootchawant?! you're so funny with that money that you flaunt...

Technically, aren't half of the 18 pieces going to be blue, green, or orange?

Mine said Jennifer too, and I am not a Jennifer. Apparently it's only you who uses substandard, and too-large containers at work.

That's "Consumer Search", which is apparently a reseller, not related or in any way similar to Consumer Reports.

Edit: Amazon.com associate.

If you end up with extras that you're sure you won't use, might I suggest taking them to your local school (pre-k or elementary would likely be best) and offer the extras to them. I'm sure they would be put to good use.

(1) 54 fl. oz. Container with (1) Lid
(1) 34 fl. oz. Container with (1) Lid
(1) 29 fl. oz. Container with (1) Lid
(1) 24 fl. oz. Container with (1) Lid
(2) 23 fl. oz. Container with (2) Lids
(3) 12 fl. oz. Container with (3) Lids
(2) 11.8 fl. oz. Container with (2) Lids
(3) 10 fl. oz. Container with (3) Lids

Edit: this time however, can't find it on the Lock and Lock site to price-compare like last month's sale.

the lids are just as easy to open as they are to close, really--you just flip each tab up or clamp it down. the kids would just have to be patient enough to be able to flip open each tab in order to get at the contents inside the container (unless you don't happen to clamp down all the tabs).
