I bought mine from Amazon for about $80. It will pump clean water from any stream at a rate of 1 liter per minute. I took mine on a day hike in the Smokies over Labor Day weekend and filled my water bottles and those of a couple of boys in our Scout troop in just a few minutes. Best tasting water you'll ever drink. When you get home you wash the plastic parts with the dishes and run a small abrasive pad over the ceramic filter to wear off the top layer with the contaminants. Eventually you will need to replace the filter which runs about $40 but I've never had to replace mine. When not hiking or backpacking I keep mine in our emergency go-bag so my family will always have potable water to drink.
