I'm pretty sure they put up that doo-doo woot so they could regain their bearings and buy some time to fix their servers.

just an fyi...I got one of these the last time they were on woot. The cover came off within the first week. The headset works fine...just kind of annoying that it isn't 'whole' anymore

Bought one of these on Woot a while ago. When used for calls, it (or my phone) has dropped bluetooth connection every time (HTC Hero - Sprint).
I still use it, mostly for music/etc. off my phone. Stereo is good.
Overall, a mediocre deal.

The story about the headset is better than the product itself.

Forehead meet desktop... I remember when woot was about getting amazing deals for stuff. Not a pittiful $8 off. Or cheap-o ratchet sets that are marketed as a particular brand, that doesn't even make "non-power" tools.
The only thing worth it on woot is the Bog..

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Mine too, after about the same time. I glued it back on.

Bought one of these the last time it was featured and it showed up with the cover broken off from the factory. No biggie, but maybe they should package this with a little tube of super glue.

So not only mixed reviews, but cheaper on Amazon?

This one will last a while .... guess I may as well put my roomba and bissel vac & shine to good use and clean the kitchen while I wait for it to sell out!

Mine did too, I glued the points where it broke off up with a dab of glue. There's two tabs that slide up under the silver band at the button end, and two plastic points that broke at the display/"Samsung" end, and I just put two dabs of glue on those points and slid the cover back on and it's been good since.

who still uses these things? Wired magazine made the point that not even Brad Pitt can pull it off…

just google “Brad Pitt blue tooth” and check out the images tab

Bought one of these a while back. Works great as bluetooth headphones, which is what I wanted it for. The earpieces are pretty comfortable and the sound quality is pretty good.

The plastic cover came off of mine, too, but I superglued it on with no problems.

It stopped working when I tried wearing the earpiece under my shirt at the gym while working out... which was immeasurably stupid on my part. I don't think they are designed to be sweated on.

I liked it enough that I'm buying another one. At least now I'll have a backup set of earphones to go with it.

Just in case you're not joking, the further one is the old, lower, 7-mile bridge.

I bought a pair of these a few months ago. I use them every day at work. I leave my phone plugged in to the wall in my office and stream internet radio while I work in the lab. The range is not as good as motorola...but I like them all the same. I'm considering buying a backup pair of these. My use for these is 95% music/5% phone headset.

I think it was build to test out cars that could both fly and go underwater submarine style. How else do you explain both the gap and the ramp into the water?

From wikipedia, I learned that hurricanes damaged the older bridge several times. Then...

"The current road bridge was constructed from 1978 to 1982. The vast majority of the original bridge still exists, used as fishing piers and access to Pigeon Key, but the swing span over the Moser Channel of the Intracoastal Waterway has been removed."
