The Dyson I just ordered should be able to do this.

Foul!

How could this have "sold out" the first time if it is back? Unless y'all checked your pockets and found more?

I bought a similar one on here before. It works great but finding the bags can sometimes be a pain in the Bundle of Crops

This one ran yesterday. It is a refurb. So, is it a Re-Rerun, a Re-Refurb, or a Re-Re-Run-Furb?

I have one and it works fine with FoodSaver bags. You can get them pretty cheap on amazon.

Amazon seems to indicate this is NOT a good woot.

sooo...does anyone have a comment on whether this thing works as advertised and is worth 15 bucks + shipping?
thinking of getting one for my mom.

If that's what it takes to order a vacuum sealer, the Bundle of Crops is going to be impossible.

Nice to know some things never change.

To really be a good sealer, it has to be a two button model. One button for seal only and one button for vacuum & seal.

I have a suck 'n' seal from another company (the "real" manufacturer) and it is great. I use it almost every day, and it really does keep things fresh longer. Sometimes a LOT longer. This particular one is quite a bit cheaper tan the one I have. I say: Go for it.

I could only find reviews for it on the kenmore website
http://www.kenmore.com/kenmore-select-seal-n-save/p-00869943000P
they are selling it for $99. Reviews are mostly positive except the heating strip may give you issues. Only one review on amazon I could find

I looked around for bags and the only place I found the ones specific to this item was on the Sears site and they were out of stock.
:/

I guess if the food saver bags work well with it, it might be worth a shot...

Neat! I was bummed that I missed this yesterday.

From yesterday's comments, people who already own this say that you can use ANY plastic bags. You aren't limited to a particular brand.

I've got a Black and Decker sealer, and if it worked it would be fantastic. If your mom has a need for something like this it should be good (if it works.) Kind of up to her, though... you might want to ask her.

Anyone know how (or if) this handles liquid stuff? Like, small batches of stew? I like the idea of being able to freeze it into manageable portions and then boil it in the bag.
